Forgive

FORGIVE

FORGIVENESS, along with many other words, is used in a general sense in the KJV.

There are at least ten different words in the Hebrew and Greek that are used to define FORGIVE.

In the Old Testament it means: to pardon, lift up from upon us, bear, be merciful, hide, expiate,  and cover over our sins and our condition of guilt. Repentance is required. Without repentance, heart-felt sincere repentance, there is no 'forgiveness'.

The job of the Levitical priesthood was that of mediator for the people to God. Every year the high priest would sacrifice the animals to atone for the sins of the people. This was a temporary covering over of sin.

In the New Testament it means: to send forth/away, release, let go, lay aside, disregard, pardon, show favor, release from bondage, remit, remission of the penalty of sin. Repentance is required, without it there is no 'forgiveness'.

When Christ died He became our High Priest. The priesthood, it's oblations and rituals expired. Christ is now our mediator. We now bring spiritual sacrifices in the form of obedience and allegiance (faith), brotherly love and compassion. Living a Christian life, studying and learning our history and heritage, keeping the feast days, shabbaths, and laws, exhorting our kinsmen to righteousness and casting out unrighteousness.

This study will show that when we ask or pray for forgiveness, we are asking our kinsmen and our God to lift up from upon us our sins and our guilty condition. To send forth or away our sins from us. To cover over, hide, bear, pardon or let go of our error and guiltiness.

We are also asking for the remission of the penalty of sin, which of course is DEATH.

It is interesting that these sins are not erased, or forgotten, yet.

The priestshood in the OT could only temporarily cover over the sins for the year.

It is Yahshua Christ that bears our sins. It is He who lifts up from upon us our sins and our condition of guilt.

In the OT sins were placed on the goat of departure and this goat would be sent forth into the wilderness, away from the people.

Christ was sacrificed once and it is He who bears our sins.

Romans 14:10  But why dost thou condemn thy brother? or why do thou despise thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

14:11  For it is written, As I live, saith Yahweh, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

14:12  So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

Will you lift up and send away your kinsmen's sins which are commited against you when they sincerely ask for 'forgiveness'?

When Christ returns at Judgment Day He is going to take into account all your sins which He has borne for you. If you lived in truth and righteousness, and you've 'forgiven' your repentant kinsmen, He will cast all your sins which have been covered over behind His back forever.

But, as in the parable of the wicked servent in Matthew 18, the wicked servant's sins (debts) which were covered over, lifted up, sent away, were brought back and he was required to pay up. At the end of the age, that payment would be the penalty of death. Too late. That is why we must constantly ask for 'forgiveness' and constantly 'forgive' our repentant brethren.

Our sins are not erased until Judgment Day. They are covered over, lifted up, sent away, for the time being as long as you live in truth.

This mortal life is our test. Everything we do is held in account and considered in the final exam. Nobody is 'saved' yet. Nobody but the wicked is going to be 'raptured'. If you do not 'forgive', you will not be 'forgiven'. You will not be pardoned the penalty of sin.

Let's now examine exactly what and how 'forgiveness' is and used.

Jacob was preparing to meet his brother Esau. He sent messengers ahead with presents for Esau.

Genesis 32:17  And he commanded the foremost, saying, When Esau my brother meeteth you, and asketh you, saying, Whose art you? and whither goest you? and whose are these before you?

 32:18  Then you shalt say, They be your servant Jacob's; it is a present sent unto my lord Esau: and, behold, also he is behind us.

 32:19  And so commanded he the second, and the third, and all that followed the droves, saying, On this manner shall ye speak unto Esau, when ye find him.

 32:20  And say ye moreover, Behold, your servant Jacob is behind us. For he said, I will appease (H3722- placate, make propitiation with) him with the present that goeth before me, and afterward I will see his face; peradventure he will accept of me.

Proverbs 21:14  A gift in secret pacifieth anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath.

Genesis 50:15  And when Joseph's brethren saw that their father was dead, they said, Joseph will peradventure hate us, and will certainly requite (repay) us all the evil which we did unto him.

 50:16  And they sent a messenger unto Joseph, saying, Your father did command before he died, saying,

 50:17  So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive (H5375- lift up from upon us), I pray you now, the trespass of your brethren, and their sin; for they did unto you evil: and now, we pray you, forgive (H5375- lift up) the trespass of the servants of the God of your father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.

The brothers ask for forgiveness. To lift up from upon them their sins and transgressions with which they rebelled against their family and against Yahweh.

Exodus 10:16  Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said, I have sinned against Yahweh your God, and against you.

 10:17  Now therefore forgive (H5375- lift up), I pray you, my sin only this once, and intreat Yahweh your God, that He may take away from me this death only.

Exodus 23:20  Behold, I send an Angel (Messenger) before you, to keep you in the way, and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.

 23:21  Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon (H5375- lift up) your transgressions: for My name is in him.

This must be referring to Joshua.

Chapter 29 is about the consecration of the priests.

Exodus 29:33  And they shall eat those things wherewith the atonement (propitiation) was made (H3722- to cover), to consecrate (be full of strength) and to sanctify (be set apart by) them: but a stranger shall not eat thereof, because they are holy (set apart).

Stranger here is zur.  Someone not of the seed of Aaron.

 29:34  And if ought of the flesh of the consecrations, or of the bread, remain unto the morning, then you shalt burn the remainder with fire: it shall not be eaten, because it is holy.

 29:35  And thus shalt you do unto Aaron, and to his sons, according to all things which I have commanded you: seven days shalt you consecrate them.

The Hebrew ends as: “... seven days shall they be full of strength.”

 29:36  And you shalt offer every day a bullock for a sin offering for atonement (H3725- the means of propitiation): and you shalt cleanse the altar, when you hast made an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for it, and you shalt anoint it, to sanctify it.

The Hebrew reads: “...:and you shall make a sin offering (H2398- missing the mark of duty, obligation or service) for it, and you shall make a sin offering upon the altar when you have made propitiation for it, and you shall consecrate it.”

 29:37  Seven days you shalt make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for the altar, and sanctify it; and it shall be an altar most holy: whatsoever toucheth the altar shall be holy.

Yahweh is teaching His people to be holy (separate) from all the other people (races). In Egypt, the children of Israel learned many pagan ways. Yahweh brought them out and is showing them how to be holy (separate) unto Him.

Chapter 30 is about offerings.

Exodus 30:10  And Aaron shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) upon the horns of it once in a year with the blood of the sin offering of atonements (H3725- means of propitiation): once in the year shall he make atonement (H3722- propitiation) upon it throughout your generations (posterity): it is most holy unto Yahweh.

3Maccabees 1:11  And when they told him that this was not permissible, none of the nation, no, nor even the priests in general, but only the supreme high priest of all, and he only once in a year, being allowed to go in, he would by no means give way.

 30:11  And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying,

 30:12  When you takest the sum of the children of Israel after their number, then shall they give every man a ransom (H3724- make an atonement, to cover) for his soul unto Yahweh, when you numberest (muster, register) them; that there be no plague among them, when you numberest them.

The soldier's ransom. See Bertrand Comparet's paper.

 30:13  This they shall give, every one that passeth among them that are numbered, half a shekel after the shekel of the sanctuary: (a shekel is twenty gerahs:) an half shekel shall be the offering of Yahweh.

 30:14  Every one that passeth among them that are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering unto Yahweh.

 30:15  The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel, when they give an offering unto Yahweh, to make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for your souls.

 30:16  And you shalt take the atonement (H3725- means of propitiation) money of the children of Israel, and shalt appoint it for the service of the tabernacle of the congregation (tent of meeting); that it may be a memorial unto the children of Israel before Yahweh, to make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for your souls.

Chapter 32 is about the golden calf.

Exodus 32:30  And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people (the ones that were left alive), Ye have sinned (missed the mark) a great sin (blasphemy): and now I will go up unto Yahweh; peradventure I shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for your sin.

Moses was going to pray to Yahweh to cover over their sin.

 32:31  And Moses returned unto Yahweh, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.

Verses 30-31, sinned comes from chata, meaning to miss the mark, wander from The Way.

And a great 'sin', comes from chata'ah, meaning a crime, offense.

 32:32  Yet now, if You wilt forgive (H5375- lift up from upon them) their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray You, out of Your book which You hast written.

'Sin' in verse 32 is from chatta'ah chatta'th, meaning condition of sin, or punishment for sin.

 32:33  And Yahweh said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against Me, him will I blot out of My book.

Yahweh tells him only the sinners will be punished. Those that missed the mark or forfeited themselves by sinning this great sin.

Repentance is key. Without repentance, sincere repentance, Yahweh will not lift up the sin from upon them.

Moses and the second tablets of stone.

Exodus 34:6  And Yahweh passed by before him, and proclaimed, Yahweh, Yahweh God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

 34:7  Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving (H5375- lifting up) iniquity (guilt) and transgression (rebellion) and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity (guilt) of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

It takes up to four generations to purge out old pagan habits and conform to Yahweh's Way.

 34:8  And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

 34:9  And he said, If now I have found grace (favor) in Your sight, O Yahweh, let my Elohiym, I pray You, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon (H5545- lift up, bear) our iniquity and our sin, and take us for Your inheritance.

The Book of Leviticus mostly uses H3722, kaphar, which means to cover, purge, make an atonement, reconciliation. To propitiate or cover over sins. The animal sacrifices of the Old Covenant were meant to cover over the sins of the people. Propitiation.

Before Christ died, when any son of Adam brought an offering unto Yahweh...

Leviticus 1:3  If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation (tent of meeting) before Yahweh.

 1:4  And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement (H3722- propitiation) for him.

The sin offering (Feast of Atonement)

Exodus 4:13  And if the whole congregation of Israel sin through ignorance, and the thing be hid from the eyes of the assembly (escapes the notice), and they have done somewhat against any of the commandments of Yahweh concerning things which should not be done, and are guilty;

 4:14  When the sin (condition of sin), which they have sinned against it (missed the mark), is known, then the congregation shall offer a young bullock for the sin (sin offering), and bring him before the tabernacle of the congregation (tent of meeting).

 4:20  And he (the priest) shall do with the bullock as he did with the bullock for a sin offering, so shall he do with this: and the priest shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for them, and it shall be forgiven (H5545- pardoned) them.

This propitiation, or covering over, must include sincere repentance.

 4:22  When a ruler hath sinned (missed the mark), and done somewhat through ignorance against any of the commandments of Yahweh his God concerning things which should not be done, and is guilty;

 4:23  Or if his sin (condition of sin), wherein he hath sinned (missed the mark), come to his knowledge; he shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a male without blemish:

 4:24  And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the goat, and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before Yahweh: it is a sin offering.

 4:25  And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out his blood at the bottom (base) of the altar of burnt offering.

 4:26  And he shall burn all his fat upon the altar, as the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings (of Well Being): and the priest shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for him as concerning his sin (condition of sin), and it shall be forgiven (H5545- pardoned) him.

 4:27  And if any one of the common people sin through ignorance, while he doeth somewhat against any of the commandments of Yahweh concerning things which ought not to be done, and be guilty;

 4:28  Or if his sin, which he hath sinned, come to his knowledge: then he shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a female without blemish, for his sin which he hath sinned.

 4:31  And he (the priest) shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat is taken away from off the sacrifice of peace offerings; and the priest shall burn it (as an incense) upon the altar for a sweet savour unto Yahweh; and the priest shall make an atonement (H3722) for him, and it shall be forgiven (H5545- pardoned) him.

 4:32  And if he bring a lamb for a sin offering, he shall bring it a female without blemish.

 4:35  And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat of the lamb is taken away from the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest shall burn them upon the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto Yahweh: and the priest shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for his sin that he hath committed, and it shall be forgiven (H5545- pardoned) him.

All of chapter 4 is sacrifice for the sins of the ignorant, when they become aware of it.

As there are many different meanings for sin, the context of chapter 4 is ignorance. When we miss the mark of our duty as children of the Most High to obey, we are guilty, even if we do it in ignorance. When we miss the mark, we are in a sinful condition. When our offense is realized or made known, we must repent and confess, and make a sin offering. Back then it was the offering of animals, since Christ's death, it is spiritual sacrifices, which is done by obedience, allegiance and practice of His Way (The Way).

Ritual sacrifice has expired and is no longer needed, as Yahshua Messiah fulfilled all blood sacrifices.

Sin offerings continue in chapter 5.

Guilty of false swearing or touching any unclean thing, unknowingly, and then realizes it...

Leviticus 5:5  And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing:

 5:6  And he shall bring his trespass offering unto Yahweh for his sin (condition of sin) which he hath sinned (missed the mark), a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for him concerning his sin (sin offering).

 5:7  And if he be not able to bring a lamb, then he shall bring for his trespass, which he hath committed, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, unto Yahweh; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering.

 5:10  And he shall offer the second for a burnt offering, according to the manner (of the burnt offering): and the priest shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for him for his sin which he hath sinned, and it shall be forgiven (H5545- pardoned) him.

 5:11  But if he be not able to bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he that sinned shall bring for his offering the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering; he shall put no oil upon it, neither shall he put any frankincense thereon: for it is a sin offering.

 5:13  And the priest shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for him as touching his sin that he hath sinned in one of these, and it shall be forgiven (H5545- pardoned) him: and the remnant shall be the priest's, as a meat (grain) offering.

 5:14  And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying,

 5:15  If a soul commit a trespass, and sin (misses the mark) through ignorance, in the holy things of Yahweh; then he shall bring for his trespass unto Yahweh a ram without blemish out of the flocks, with your estimation by shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering:

 5:16  And he shall make amends for the harm that he hath done in the holy thing, and shall add the fifth part thereto, and give it unto the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for him with the ram of the trespass offering, and it shall be forgiven (H5545- pardoned) him.

 5:17  And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of Yahweh; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.

 5:18  And he shall bring a ram without blemish out of the flock, with your estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for him concerning his ignorance wherein he erred and wist it not, and it shall be forgiven (H5545- pardoned) him.

 5:19  It is a trespass offering: he hath certainly trespassed against Yahweh.

Chapter 5 is a continuation of chapter 4 regarding blood sacrifices. These have been fulfilled by Christ, however it has some moral guidelines that are still current. The refusal to give testimony in a dispute is clearly sinful. Touching unclean creeping things and dead carcasses defile a man and he may not approach Yahweh's holy place.

No lie is of the truth. Lying unto a kinsman.

Leviticus 6:4  Then it shall be, because he hath sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he hath deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found,

 6:5  Or all that about which he hath sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in the principal, and shall add the fifth part more thereto, and give it unto him to whom it appertaineth, in the day of his trespass offering.

 6:6  And he shall bring his trespass offering unto Yahweh, a ram without blemish out of the flock, with your estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest:

 6:7  And the priest shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for him before Yahweh: and it shall be forgiven (H5545- pardoned) him for any thing of all that he hath done in trespassing therein.

The repentance must be sincere and heart-felt to be pardoned. Many people are sorry when they get caught and not sorry for their sin.

 6:30  And no sin offering, whereof any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of the congregation (tent of meeting) to reconcile (H3722- cover over, propitiate, make atonement) withal (on behalf of anything) in the holy place, shall be eaten: it shall be burnt in the fire.

The grain offerings were not for remission of sin, they were a glory offering to Yahweh, and done every day. The sin offerings were done by blood sacrifices for the remission of sins.

Leviticus 7:7  As the sin offering is, so is the trespass (guilt) offering: there is one law for them: the priest that maketh atonement (H3722- propitiation) therewith shall have it.

Chapter 8 is the anointing of the priests.

They imparted their sins onto the bull that was to be slaughtered for the sin offering.

Leviticus 8:15  And he slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it, to make reconciliation (H3722- propitiation) upon it.

Verses 16-32 cover the details of consecration.

Consecration means setting, installation. The context is the anointing of the priests. The priests had to be clean, both physically and spiritually, to be the servants to Yahweh and for the people.

 8:33  And you shall not go out of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation (tent of meeting) in seven days, until the days of your consecration (set apartness) be at an end: for seven days shall He (Yahweh) consecrate you (set you apart).   (Jasher 83:2)

 8:34  As he hath done this day, so Yahweh hath commanded to do, to make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for you.

Leviticus 9:7  And Moses said unto Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer your sin offering, and your burnt offering, and make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for thyself, and for the people: and offer the offering of the people, and make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for them; as Yahweh commanded.

Leviticus 10:16  And Moses diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying,

 10:17  Wherefore have you not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement (H3722- propitiation) for them before Yahweh?

The context below is about a woman that conceives a child.

Leviticus 12:7  Who shall offer it before Yahweh, and make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for her; and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female.

 12:8  And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles (turtledoves), or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for her, and she shall be clean.

The cleansing of lepers (those with a skin disease)

Leviticus 14:11  And the priest that maketh him clean shall present the man that is to be made clean, and those things, before Yahweh, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation (tent of meeting):

 14:12  And the priest shall take one he lamb, and offer him for a trespass offering, and the log of oil, and wave them for a wave offering before Yahweh:

 14:18  And the remnant of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall pour upon the head of him that is to be cleansed: and the priest shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for him before Yahweh.

 14:19  And the priest shall offer the sin offering, and make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for him that is to be cleansed from his uncleanness; and afterward he shall kill the burnt offering:

 14:20  And the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the meat offering upon the altar: and the priest shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for him, and he shall be clean.

 14:21  And if he be poor, and cannot get so much; then he shall take one lamb for a trespass (guilt) offering to be waved, to make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for him, and one tenth deal of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat (grain) offering, and a log of oil;

 14:29  And the rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed, to make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for him before Yahweh.

 14:30  And he shall offer the one of the turtledoves, or of the young pigeons, such as he can get;

 14:31  Even such as he is able to get, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meat (grain) offering: and the priest shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for him that is to be cleansed before Yahweh.

Verses 33-53 is about mold in houses.

Leviticus 14:48  And if the priest shall come in, and look upon it, and, behold, the plague (blemish) hath not spread in the house, after the house was plaistered: then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the plague (blemish) is healed.

 14:49  And he shall take to cleanse the house two birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet (scarlet worm), and hyssop:

 14:50  And he shall kill the one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water:

 14:51  And he shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet (scarlet worm), and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times:

 14:52  And he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet (scarlet worm):

 14:53  But he (the priest) shall let go the living bird out of the city into the open fields, and make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for the house: and it shall be clean.

Leviticus 15:2  Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When any man hath a running issue out of his flesh (penis), because of his issue (discharge) he is unclean.

May be referring to gonorrhea.

 15:3  And this shall be his uncleanness in his issue (discharge): whether his flesh (penis) run with his issue (discharge), or his flesh (penis) be stopped from his issue, it is his uncleanness.

Must be gonorrhea.

 15:13  And when he that hath an issue (discharge) is cleansed of his issue (discharge); then he shall number to himself seven days for his cleansing, and wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in running water, and shall be clean.

Yep, gonorrhea.

 15:14  And on the eighth day he shall take to him two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, and come before Yahweh unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation (tent of meeting), and give them unto the priest:

 15:15  And the priest shall offer them, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for him before Yahweh for his issue (discharge).

Next is about the menstruation cycle.

 15:28  But if she be cleansed of her issue (flow), then she shall number to herself seven days, and after that she shall be clean.

 15:29  And on the eighth day she shall take unto her two turtles (turtledoves), or two young pigeons, and bring them unto the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation (tent of meeting).

 15:30  And the priest shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for her before Yahweh for the issue (flow) of her uncleanness.

 15:31  Thus shall you separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness; that they die not in their uncleanness, when they defile My tabernacle that is among them.

Chapter 16 is about the Day of Propitiation.

Leviticus 16:5  And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.

 16:6  And Aaron shall offer his bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for himself, and for his house.

 16:9  And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which Yahweh's lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering.

 16:10  But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat (Azazel), shall be presented alive before Yahweh, to make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat (Azazel) into the wilderness.

 16:11  And Aaron shall bring the bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which is for himself:

 16:16  And he shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation (tent of meeting), that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness.

 16:17  And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation (tent of meeting) when he goeth in to make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) in the holy place, until he come out, and have made an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel.

 16:18  And he shall go out unto the altar that is before Yahweh, and make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about.

 16:20  And when he hath made an end of reconciling (H3722- atoning, propitiating) the holy place, and the tabernacle of the congregation (tent of meeting), and the altar, he shall bring the live goat:

 16:24  And he (Aaron) shall wash his flesh with water in the holy place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for himself, and for the people.

 16:27  And the bullock for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement (H3722- propitiation) in the holy place, shall one carry forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.

 16:29  And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your souls (by fasting), and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger (of kin) that sojourneth among you:

 16:30  For on that day shall the priest make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for you, to cleanse you, that you may be clean from all your sins before Yahweh.

This is yom kippur, the Day of Atoning (Propitiation). It is not a Jewish holy day. It is an Israelite holy day of fasting and repenting to Yahweh. One day a year, on this day, we are required to fast. How many Judeo 'Christians' keep this law?

Notice the priest is in italics. Meaning it was added by the translators. It also shows that this holy day of propitiation is up to us to perform and obey because there is no more priesthood or sacrificial rituals. Our sacrifices (obedience and allegiance) are directly to Christ now, not through a priest (middle man).

 16:31  It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and you shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever.

This is a fast. No food or drink for 24 hours.

 16:32  And the priest, whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to minister in the priest's office in his father's stead, shall make the atonement (H3722- propitiation), and shall put on the linen clothes, even the holy garments:

 16:33  And he shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for the holy sanctuary, and he shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for the tabernacle of the congregation (tent of meeting), and for the altar, and he shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for the priests, and for all the people of the congregation.

 16:34  And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as Yahweh commanded Moses.

Chapter 16 was fulfilled by Yahshua.

We celebrate the day of atonement by fasting and honoring Yahweh.

Scapegoat is a “church” term. Azazel, H5799 is the goat of departure or removal. See Enoch 8:1, 9:6, 10:4, 13:1, 54:1 and 55:3.

Atonement was not the proper term for what occurred on the Holy Day. It was a covering over of sin until the next year. Propitiation is the accurate term used in translation. Azazel is used as a proper name in the older texts. The demon to whom all the yearly sin was sent, symbolically, when the priest laid his hands on the goat that was to be the 'goat of release'.

All the blood that was shed for the remission of sins and purifying the priests, altar and tent of meeting is no longer needed.

The priesthood and it's ordinances expired. We now offer spiritual sacrifices. That means walking in The Way, obedience and allegiance, loving our brethren, and of course, loving Yahweh.

Leviticus 17:10  And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers (of kin) that sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set My face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people.   (Gen 9:4, Deut 12:16,23)

 17:11  For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for the soul.

Leviticus 19:20  And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to an husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; she shall be scourged; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.

 19:21  And he shall bring his trespass (guilt) offering unto Yahweh, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation (tent of meeting), even a ram for a trespass (guilt) offering.

 19:22  And the priest shall make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for him with the ram of the trespass (guilt) offering before Yahweh for his sin which he hath done: and the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven (H5545- pardoned) him.

Leviticus 23:27  Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement (H3725- the act of atoning or making satisfication): it shall be an holy convocation (high sabbath) unto you; and you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto Yahweh.

Day of Atonement. A day of fasting.

 23:28  And you shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement (H3725- the act of atoning or making satisfication), to make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for you before Yahweh your God.

If you want to be forgiven, and satisfy Yahweh by obeying His laws, you can start by obeying His feast days. See Feast Days in Calendar menu.

Leviticus 25:8  And you shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.

The Jubilee. 49 years.

The Jubilee starts on the Day of Atonement in the 49th year and lasts until the following year.

 25:10  And you shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and you shall return every man unto his possession, and you shall return every man unto his family.

Numbers 5:5  And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying,

 5:6  Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against Yahweh, and that person be guilty;

Leviticus 6:2-3

2  If a soul sin, and commit a trespass against Yahweh, and lie unto his neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep, or in fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceived his neighbour;

3  Or have found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it, and sweareth falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein:

 5:7  Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass (restitution of guilt) with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.

 5:8  But if the man have no kinsman to recompense the trespass unto, let the trespass be recompensed unto Yahweh, even to the priest; beside the ram of the atonement (H3725- means of propitiation), whereby an atonement (H3722- propitiation) shall be made for him.   (Lev 6:6-7, 7:7)

The law of a Nazarite.

Numbers 6:6  All the days that he separateth himself unto Yahweh he shall come at no dead body.

 6:7  He shall not make himself unclean for his father, or for his mother, for his brother, or for his sister, when they die: because the consecration of his God is upon his head.

Referring to the crown of consecration, his uncut hair.

 6:8  All the days of his separation he is holy unto Yahweh.

 6:9  And if any man die very suddenly by him, and he hath defiled the head of his consecration; then he shall shave his head in the day of his cleansing, on the seventh day shall he shave it.

 6:10  And on the eighth day he shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons, to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation (tent of meeting):

 6:11  And the priest shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, and make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for him, for that he sinned by the dead, and shall hallow his head that same day.

 6:12  And he shall consecrate unto Yahweh the days of his separation, and shall bring a lamb of the first year for a trespass offering: but the days that were before shall be lost, because his separation was defiled.

If they vowed a vow of the Nazarite for two years, and was defiled by a dead body, they had to follow the instructions above and start over. Vows must be kept.

Numbers 8:11  And Aaron shall offer the Levites before Yahweh for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of Yahweh.

Numbers 14:17  And now, I beseech You, let the power of my Master Yahweh be great, according as You hast spoken, saying,

 14:18  Yahweh is longsuffering (slow to anger), and of great mercy, forgiving (H5375- lifting up) iniquity (guilt) and transgression (rebellion), and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.   (Ex 34:6-7)

 14:19  Pardon (H5545- forgive), I beseech You,  the iniquity (guilt, crookedness) of this people according unto the greatness of Thy mercy, and as You hast forgiven (H5375- bear continuously, was favourable to) this people, from Egypt even until now.

Numbers 15:22  And if you have erred, and not observed all these commandments, which Yahweh hath spoken unto Moses,

 15:23  Even all that Yahweh hath commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day that Yahweh commanded Moses, and henceforward among your generations (posterity);

 15:24  Then it shall be, if ought be committed by ignorance without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour (odor) unto Yahweh, with his meat (grain) offering, and his drink offering, according to the manner, and one kid of the goats for a sin offering.

Numbers 16:45  Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.

 16:46  And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for them: for there is wrath gone out from Yahweh; the plague is begun.

 16:47  And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for the people.

 16:48  And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.

 16:49  Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah.

Numbers 25:11  Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned My wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for My sake among them, that I consumed not (put an end to) the children of Israel in My jealousy.

 25:12  Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him My covenant of peace:

Malachi 2:4-5

4  And you shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that My covenant might be with Levi, saith Yahweh of hosts.

5  My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared Me, and was afraid before My name.

 25:13  And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for the children of Israel.

Feast of Unleavened Bread

Numbers 28:16  And in the fourteenth day of the first month is the passover of Yahweh.

 28:17  And in the fifteenth day of this month is the feast: seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten.

 28:30  And one kid of the goats, to make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for you.

We do not do these sacrificial rituals anymore because Christ fulfilled them. The priesthood expired and Christ is now our High Priest and mediator. We must now make spiritual sacrifices, which is done by obedience and allegiance, and keeping the feast days.

Numbers 29:1  And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have an holy convocation (high sabbath); you shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.

 29:5  And one kid of the goats for a sin offering, to make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for you:

 29:7  And you shall have on the tenth day of this seventh month an holy convocation; and you shall afflict your souls (by fasting): you shall not do any work therein:

 29:11  One kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the sin offering of atonement (H3725- means of propitiation), and the continual burnt offering, and the meat (grain) offering of it, and their drink offerings.

Numbers 30:3  If a woman also vow a vow unto Yahweh, and bind herself by a bond, being in her father's house in her youth;

 30:4  And her father hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her father shall hold his peace at her (if he keeps silent): then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand.

 30:5  But if her father disallow (forbids) her in the day that he heareth; not any of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and Yahweh shall forgive (H5545- forgive, pardon) her, because her father disallowed (forbid) her.

 30:6  And if she had at all an husband, when she vowed, or uttered ought out of her lips, wherewith she bound her soul;

 30:7  And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her (kept silent) in the day that he heard it: then her vows shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.

 30:8  But if her husband disallowed her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make her vow which she vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips, wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect: and Yahweh shall forgive (H5545- forgive, pardon) her.

 30:9  But every vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced, wherewith they have bound their souls, shall stand against her.

 30:10  And if she vowed in her husband's house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath;

 30:11  And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her (kept silent), and disallowed (forbid) her not: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.

 30:12  But if her husband hath utterly made them void on the day he heard them; then whatsoever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void; and Yahweh shall forgive (H5545- forgive, pardon) her.

Numbers 31:3  And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war, and let them go against the Midianites, and avenge Yahweh upon Midian.

 31:4  Of every tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, shall you send to the war.

 31:5  So there were delivered out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.

The army had to purify themselves for seven days before they could come back into the camp.

 31:25  And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying,

 31:26  Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of beast, you, and Eleazar the priest, and the chief fathers of the congregation:

 31:28  And levy a tribute unto Yahweh of the men of war which went out to battle (the military): one soul of five hundred, both of the persons, and of the beeves, and of the asses, and of the sheep:

 31:29  Take it of their half, and give it unto Eleazar the priest, for an heave offering of Yahweh.

The Soldier's Ransom. See Bertrand Comparet's article.

 31:48  And the officers which were over thousands of the host, the captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, came near unto Moses:

 31:49  And they said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war which are under our charge, and there lacketh not one man of us.

 31:50  We have therefore brought an oblation for Yahweh, what every man hath gotten, of jewels of gold, chains, and bracelets, rings, earrings, and tablets, to make an atonement (H3722- propitiation) for our souls before Yahweh.

Numbers 35:30  Whoso killeth any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses: but one witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die.

Deuteronomy 17:6  At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.

 35:31  Moreover you shall take no satisfaction (ransom) for the life of a murderer, which is guilty of death: but he shall be surely put to death.

You can't buy your way out of murder.

 35:32  And you shall take no satisfaction (ransom) for him that is fled to the city of his refuge, that he should come again to dwell in the land, until the death of the priest.

 35:33  So you shall not pollute the land wherein you are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed (H3722- pardoned) of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.

 35:34  Defile not therefore the land which you shall inhabit, wherein I dwell: for I Yahweh dwell among the children of Israel.

Leviticus 18:25  And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.

True Israel (the white race) never returned to the land, we went off and settled Europe and America.

The Jews killed Christ and shed His blood, and to this day the land is still defiled. Yahweh will surely require their blood to be shed when He returns.

Unsolved murders.

Deuteronomy 21:8  Be merciful (H3722- forgive), O Yahweh, unto Your people Israel, whom You hast redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto Your people of Israel's charge. And the blood shall be forgiven (H3722- pardoned to) them.

 21:9  So shalt you put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when you shalt do that which is right in the sight of Yahweh.

Deuteronomy 29:18  Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from Yahweh our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;

Original Greek: Hebrews 12:15 Watching closely that not any are lacking from the favor of Yahweh, “lest any root of bitterness springing up” would trouble you and by it many would be defiled,

 29:19  And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination (stubbornness) of mine heart (mind), to add drunkenness to thirst:

Referring to today's “church” teachings. That the law was “done away with” and that they are “saved” and just awaiting the “rapture”.

 29:20  Yahweh will not spare (H5545- pardon, forgive) him, but then the anger of Yahweh and His jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and Yahweh shall blot out his name from under heaven.

So much for “personal salvation” or “once saved always saved”. Declaring oneself “saved” is not taught in scripture. Yahweh will blot out those who lack understanding and knowledge. If you refuse Him He will refuse you. You will not find Him in false doctrine. If you trust in false doctrine you will not be pardoned or forgiven. It matters what we believe in.

Deuteronomy 32:43  Rejoice, O you nations, His people: for He will avenge the blood of His servants, and will render vengeance to His adversaries, and will be merciful unto (H3722- pardon) His land, His people.  -End of Moses' Song

Joshua 24:14  Now therefore fear (revere) Yahweh, and serve Him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your (fore) fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye Yahweh.

 24:15  And if it seem evil unto you to serve Yahweh, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your (fore) fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh.

 24:16  And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should forsake Yahweh, to serve other gods;

 24:17  For Yahweh our God, He it is that brought us up and our (fore) fathers out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and which did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way wherein we went, and among all the people through whom we passed:

 24:18  And Yahweh drave out from before us all the people, even the Amorites which dwelt in the land: therefore will we also serve Yahweh; for He is our God.

 24:19  And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot (are not able to) serve Yahweh: for He is an holy (set apart) God; He is a jealous God; He will not forgive (H5375- bear with, lift up) your transgressions nor your sins.

There has to be repentance for Yahweh to lift up your sins. The people were still obviously idolators. You cannot serve Yahweh if you are a habitual sinner.

1Samuel 3:12  In that day I will perform against Eli all things which I have spoken concerning his house: when I begin, I will also make an end.

 3:13  For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not.

Eli did not rebuke his sons for their iniquity.

 3:14  And therefore I have sworn unto the house of Eli, that the iniquity of Eli's house shall not be purged (H3722- covered, atoned for) with sacrifice nor (grain) offering for ever.

1Samuel 15:24  And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned (missed the mark of duty): for I have transgressed the commandment of Yahweh, and your words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

 15:25  Now therefore, I pray you, pardon (H5375- lift up from upon me) my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship Yahweh.

 15:26  And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with you: for you hast rejected the word of Yahweh, and Yahweh hath rejected you from being king over Israel.

Nabal's wife Abigail seeks for David to remove, or lift, her trespass.

1Samuel 25:28  I pray you, forgive (H5375- lift up from upon me) the trespass of your handmaid: for Yahweh will certainly make my lord a sure house; because my lord fighteth the battles of Yahweh, and evil hath not been found in you all your days.

2Samuel 21:1  Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of Yahweh. And Yahweh answered, It is for (because of) Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.

 21:2  And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.)  (Josh 9:1-17)

 21:3  Wherefore David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement (H3722- propitiation), that ye may bless the inheritance of Yahweh?

The atonement is the covering over of the blood guilt of Saul.

1Kings 8:28  Yet have You respect unto the prayer of Your servant, and to his supplication (petition), O Yahweh my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which Your servant prayeth before You to day:

 8:29  That Your eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which You hast said, My name shall be there: that You mayest hearken unto the prayer which Your servant shall make toward this place.

 8:30  And hearken You to the supplication of Your servant, and of Your people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear You in heaven (the sky) Your dwelling place: and when You hearest, forgive (H5545- pardon).

Solomon is praying for forgiveness. Yahweh hearing and forgiving the people when they are sincere in their prayers of repentance. There must be sincere heart-felt repentance in order to be pardoned.

 8:33  When Your people Israel be smitten down before the (hated) enemy, because they have sinned against You, and shall turn again to You, and confess (acknowledge) Your name, and pray, and make supplication unto You in this house:

 8:34  Then hear You in heaven (the sky), and forgive (H5545- pardon) the sin of Your people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which You gavest unto their (fore) fathers.

 8:35  When heaven (the sky) is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against You; if they pray toward this place, and confess (acknowledge) Your name, and turn from their sin, when You afflictest them:

 8:36  Then hear You in heaven (the sky), and forgive (H5545- pardon) the sin of Your servants, and of Your people Israel, that You teach them the good way wherein they should walk, and give rain upon Your land, which You hast given to Your people for an inheritance.

 8:37  If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, or if there be caterpiller; if their (hated) enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness there be;

 8:38  What prayer and supplication soever be made by any man (Adam), or by all Your people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:

 8:39  Then hear You in heaven (the sky) Your dwelling place, and forgive (H5545- pardon), and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart You knowest; (for You, even You only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men (Adam);)

 8:49  Then hear You their prayer and their supplication in heaven (the sky) Your dwelling place, and maintain their cause,

 8:55  And he stood, and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying,

 8:56  Blessed be Yahweh, that hath given rest unto His people Israel, according to all that He promised: there hath not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised by the hand of Moses His servant.

 5:16  But he (Elisha) said, As Yahweh liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he (Naaman) urged him to take it; but he (Elisha) refused.

 5:17  And Naaman said, Shall there not then, I pray you, be given to your servant two mules' burden of earth (soil)? for your servant will henceforth offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice unto other gods, but unto Yahweh.

In those days, people associated gods with the land. That's why Naaman wanted two mules with bags of dirt from the land.

2Chronicles 30:5  So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the passover unto Yahweh God of Israel at Jerusalem: for they had not done it of a long time in such sort as it was written.

 30:6  So the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, Ye children of Israel, turn again unto Yahweh God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and He will return to the remnant of you, that are escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.

 30:16  And they stood in their place after their manner, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood, which they received of the hand of the Levites.

 30:17  For there were many in the congregation that were not sanctified: therefore the Levites had the charge of the killing of the passovers for every one that was not clean, to sanctify them unto Yahweh.

 30:18  For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet did they eat the passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good Yahweh pardon (H3722- be merciful to) every one

 30:19  That prepareth his heart to seek God, Yahweh God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.

 30:20  And Yahweh hearkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.

 9:16  But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks, and hearkened not to Your commandments,

 9:17  And refused to obey, neither were mindful of Your wonders that You didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but You art a God ready to pardon (H5547- spare, show forgiveness), gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.

 47:11  Therefore shall evil come upon you; you shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon you; you shalt not be able to put it off (H3722- clear, cover): and desolation shall come upon you suddenly, which you shalt not know.

The children of the serpent will never be cleared or pardoned.

John 8:44  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Isaiah 55:6  Seek you Yahweh while He may be found, call you upon Him while He is near:

Psalm 32:6  For this shall every one that is godly pray unto You in a time when You mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto Him.

When we allow the other races into our society, our society loses it's Christianity, and the presence of our Prince.

 55:7  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto Yahweh, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon (H5545- pardon, forgive).

Repent, confess and return to The Way.

In Isaiah we see that the sins of the children of Jacob are pardoned, lifted, and covered over only through sincere repentance and returning to The Way. At this point in the prophets, Israel had become rebellious and in a constant state of guilt from idolatry and race-mixing. They would not listen to the warnings and so Yahweh had no choice but to punish them by sending the Assyrians and the Babylonians to kill and take them captive. Only the remnant that trusted in Yahweh accepted their punishment, repented, returned to Him, and were preserved through captivity. These were the ones that were pardoned, purged, and had their sins lifted and covered. The rest did not, so they perished. There MUST be repentance to be pardoned. The theme continues in the following books of the prophets.

Jeremiah 5:1  (Yahweh speaking) Run you to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad (public) places thereof, if you can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment (justice), that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon (H5545- pardon, forgive) it.

Ezekiel 22:30  And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

 5:2  And though they say, Yahweh liveth; surely they swear falsely.

Titus 1:16  They profess that they know God; but in works they deny Him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

 5:3  (Jeremiah speaking) O Yahweh, are not Your eyes upon the truth? You hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; You hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return (turn back from sin).

2Chronicles 16:9  For the eyes of Yahweh run to and fro throughout the whole land, to shew Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him. Herein you hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth you shalt have wars.

 5:4  Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of Yahweh, nor the judgment of their God.

 5:5  I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of Yahweh, and the judgment of their God: but these (the fools) have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.

 5:6  Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings (steppe) shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings (apostasy) are increased.

 5:7  (Yahweh speaks) How shall I pardon (H5545- pardon, forgive) you for this? your children have forsaken Me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots' houses.

No repentance, no pardon.

Rom 6:23  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Yahshua Christ our Master.

Jeremiah 18:18  Then said they (the people against Jeremiah), Come, and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law (torah) shall not perish from the priest (their pagan priests), nor counsel from the wise (their pagan counselors), nor the word from the prophet (their pagan prophet). Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.

 18:19  (Jeremiah speaking) Give heed to me, O Yahweh, and hearken to the voice of them that contend with me.

 18:20  Shall evil be recompensed for good? for they have digged a pit for my soul. Remember that I stood before You to speak good for them, and to turn away Your wrath from them.

Psalm 109:4  For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.

Psalm 35:7  For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul.

 18:21  Therefore deliver up their children to the famine, and pour out their blood by the force of the sword; and let their wives be bereaved of their children, and be widows; and let their men be put to death; let their young men be slain by the sword in battle.

Jeremiah had enough of these unrepentant sinners and was telling Yahweh to go ahead, punish them.

 18:22  Let a cry be heard from their houses, when You shalt bring a troop (marauding band) suddenly upon them: for they have digged a pit to take me, and hid snares for my feet.

 18:23  Yet, Yahweh, You knowest all their counsel against me to slay me: forgive (H3722- cover over, hide, ignore, pardon) not their iniquity (guilt), neither blot out their sin from Your sight, but let them be overthrown before You; deal thus with them in the time of Your anger.

Psalm 35:4  Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.

Most will remain unrepentant to the end, and perish. Some will repent and return to Yahweh, and be pardoned.

Jeremiah 31:33  But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith Yahweh, I will put My law (torah) in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be My people.

 31:34  And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know Yahweh: for they shall all know Me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith Yahweh: for I will forgive (H5545- pardon) their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

The Old Covenant included the priesthood and it's rituals which temporarily covered over sins. The New Covenant is really not much different. The only difference being that the priesthood and it's rituals were 'done away with', Christ is now our High Priest and mediator, and the written law was put on our hearts. We now must come directly to Yahshua Christ with repentance and He will pardon our sins.

Jeremiah 33:7  And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.

 33:8  And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against Me; and I will pardon (H5545- pardon, forgive) all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against Me.

An obedient remnant of Judah did return to Jerusalem after Babylonian captivity.

Jeremiah 36:2  Take you a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto you against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto you, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.

 36:3  It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil (punishment, harm) which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive (H5545- pardon) their iniquity and their sin.

How will they be pardoned? Heed Yahweh's words, repent and return to Him.

 36:4  Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of Yahweh, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.

 36:5  And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut up (locked up); I cannot go into the house of Yahweh:

 36:6  Therefore go you, and read in the roll, which you hast written from my mouth, the words of Yahweh in the ears of the people in Yahweh's house upon the fasting day: and also you shalt read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities.

The day of fasting. 10th day of the 7th month is the day of propitiation (September 27 for the year 2017, sundown to 28th sundown). The Israelites came to Jerusalem to observe the feast days and hear the torah. We are still to gather with our brethren and observe our heritage wherever we dwell.

Leviticus 16:29  And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger (of kin) that sojourneth among you:

 36:7  It may be they will present their supplication before Yahweh, and will return every one from his evil way: for great is the anger and the fury that Yahweh hath pronounced against this people.

Jeremiah 50:20  In those days, and in that time, saith Yahweh, the iniquity (condition of guilt) of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon (H5545- forgive, spare) them whom I reserve.

Isaiah 1:9  Except Yahweh of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

In verse 20, reserve is H7604 sha ar, meaning to remain, be left over, be left behind, survive.

Just like Noah and his family, just like the wheat in the parable of the wheat and tares, and in many places throughout scripture, such as here in verse 20, we clearly see that the wicked will be destroyed and the righteous will remain. There is no 'rapture'!

It is only the obedient and repentant remnant that will be pardoned. That is why we are the remnant.

Matthew 7:14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Lamentations 3:32  But though He cause grief, yet will He have compassion according to the multitude of His mercies.

 3:33  For He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

Ezekiel 33:11  Say unto them, As I live, saith Yahweh GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

 3:34  To crush under His feet all the prisoners of the earth,

 3:35  To turn aside the right (judgment) of a man before the face of the most High,

 3:36  To subvert (condemn) a man (unjustly) in his cause (judgment), Yahweh approveth not.

Habakkuk 1:13  Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than He?

 3:37  Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when Yahweh commandeth it not?

 3:38  Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?

Amos 3:6  Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and Yahweh hath not done it?

 3:39  Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?

 3:40  Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to Yahweh.

 3:41  Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.

 3:42  We have transgressed and have rebelled: You hast not pardoned (H5545- pardon, forgiven).

Daniel 9:5  We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from Thy precepts and from tThy judgments:

Speaking of reconciliation and regathering.

Again, the books of the prophets are showing that the iniquities and transgressions of Israel reached a tipping point. They did not repent and return to Yahweh so He punished them. The obedient remnant was preserved through this punishment and because of the promises made to Abraham, the obedient and repentant sons of Jacob were spared. They were allowed to return to Jerusalem after captivity.

Ezekiel 16:62  And I will establish My covenant with you; and you shalt know that I am Yahweh:

 16:63  That you mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open your mouth any more because of your shame, when I am pacified (H3722- pardoning, merciful) toward you for all that you hast done, saith Yahweh GOD.

They were doing pagan worship right next to the temple! Yahweh gave instructions.

Ezekiel 43:10  You son of man (Adam), shew the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities: and let them measure the pattern.

 43:11  And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shew them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write it in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them.

Yahweh had to re-give the proper details because they were perverted by pagan practices.

 43:18  And He said unto me, Son of man (Adam), thus saith Yahweh GOD; These are the ordinances of the altar in the day when they shall make it, to offer burnt offerings thereon, and to sprinkle blood thereon.

 43:19  And you shalt give to the priests the Levites that be of the seed of Zadok, which approach unto Me, to minister unto Me, saith Yahweh GOD, a young bullock for a sin offering.   (Ex 29:10, Lev 8:14)

 43:20  And you shalt take of the blood thereof, and put it on the four horns of it, and on the four corners of the settle (ledge), and upon the border round about: thus shalt you cleanse and purge (H3722- make atonement, propitiation, cover over) it.

Verses 21-23 are more details of cleansing and offering.

 43:24  And you shalt offer them before Yahweh, and the priests shall cast salt upon them, and they shall offer them up for a burnt offering unto Yahweh.

Leviticus 2:13  And every oblation of your grain offering shalt you season with salt; neither shalt you suffer the salt of the covenant of your God to be lacking from your grain offering: with all your offerings you shalt offer salt.

Salt would represent sincerity.

 43:26  Seven days shall they purge (H3722- make atonement, propitiation for) the altar and purify it; and they shall consecrate themselves.

The land set aside for the returning remnant of Judah after Babylonian captivity.

Ezekiel 45:8  In the land shall be his possession in Israel: and My princes (chief men) shall no more oppress My people; and the rest of the land shall they give to the house of Israel according to their tribes.

The leaders were oppressing the people before the punishment of captivity.

 45:9  Thus saith Yahweh GOD; Let it suffice you, O princes of Israel: remove violence and spoil, and execute judgment and justice, take away your exactions from My people, saith Yahweh GOD.

 45:10  Ye shall have just balances, and a just ephah, and a just bath.

They had to offer just measures of oblations (contributions).

 45:15  And one lamb out of the flock, out of two hundred, out of the fat pastures of Israel; for a meat (grain) offering, and for a burnt offering, and for peace offerings, to make reconciliation (H3722- atonement, propitiation) for them, saith Yahweh GOD.

 45:16  All the people of the land shall give this oblation (contribution) for the prince in Israel.

The prince would be the future king from the line of David that will return with the remnant from Babylon.

 45:17  And it shall be the prince's part to give burnt offerings, and meat (grain) offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons (new beginnings, renewal), and in the sabbaths, in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat (grain) offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation (H3722- atonement, propitiation) for the house of Israel.

All these things were 'done away with' when Christ died. Not the law, or the food laws, as the “churches” teach. Only the priesthood and its rituals and oblations expired.

 45:18  Thus saith Yahweh GOD; In the first month, in the first day of the month, you shalt take a young bullock without blemish, and cleanse the sanctuary:

Leviticus 16:16  And he shall make an atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness.

 45:19  And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering, and put it upon the posts of the house, and upon the four corners of the settle of the altar, and upon the posts of the gate of the inner court.

 45:20  And so you shalt do the seventh day of the month for every one that erreth, and for him that is simple: so shall you reconcile (H3722- make atonement, propitiation for) the house.

Simple, H6612 pronounced peth-ee', peh'-you, peth-aw-ee'

From H6601 decieved; silly (that is, seducible): - foolish, simple (-icity, one).

Leviticus 4:27  And if any one of the common people sin through ignorance, while he doeth somewhat against any of the commandments of Yahweh concerning things which ought not to be done, and be guilty;

Even the ignorant and unlearned are held accountable and guilty. Stop sitting in your own 'pew' on the day of the sun god believing in whatever you are told. Study, learn truth, repent, be forgiven. How can you be 'saved' if you are ignorant?!

Daniel 9:9  To Yahweh our God belong mercies and forgivenesses (H5547- pardonings), though we have rebelled against Him;

 9:10  Neither have we obeyed the voice of Yahweh our God, to walk in His laws, which He set before us by His servants the prophets.

 9:11  Yea, all Israel have transgressed Your law (torah), even by departing, that they might not obey Your voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law (torah) of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned (miss the mark of duty) against Him.

Praying for the restoration of Israel. Admitting they are not righteous.

 9:19  O Yahweh, hear; O Yahweh, forgive (H5545- pardon); O Yahweh, hearken and do; defer not, for Your own sake, O my God: for Your city and Your people are called by Your name.

Praying sincere heart-felt repentance brings wonderful results...

 9:20  And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before Yahweh my God for the holy mountain of my God;

 9:21  Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation (grain offering).

 9:22  And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give you skill (wisdom) and understanding.

 9:23  At the beginning of your supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew you; for you art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

 9:24  Seventy weeks are determined upon your people and upon your holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation (H3722- atonement, propitiation, to cover) for iniquity (crookedness, guilt), and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

To Finish the Transgression of Israel:  His last words were “It is finished.”  His First Advent completed the Old Covenant of the ritual laws of blood sacrifice.  He was the last sacrifice under the Old Covenant.

The state of divorce between Israel and Yahweh. It releases Israel from marriage and satisfies the law of the husband. Romans 7:1-12. It frees Israel and allows for remarriage.

To Make and End of Sins:  The New Covenant, which was announced at the Last Supper, was prophesied by Jeremiah, in Chapter 31. (31-37)

At that time, 99.9% of the Israelites in the world were in the Dispersion (outside of Judaea); and they didn’t even know that their Messiah had come.  That Good News was not spread until after His death.

Sin did not end. It put an end to sins under the Old Covenant.

To Make Reconciliation for Iniquity:  Reconciliation is atonement for our sins.  As our Kinsman Redeemer, Yahshua Messiah took upon Himself all of our sins under the Old Covenant, thus atoning for the millions of violations of our oath at Mt. Sinai.

To Bring In Everlasting Righteousness:  All of Christian history, starting from that day, was designed and intended by Yahweh to bring in everlasting righteousness (justice according to His Laws).  This will not be accomplished until the Second Coming, when both death and evil will be destroyed.

Everlasting righteousness belongs to those of the seed of Jacob and obedient to Christ.

To Seal Up the Vision and the Prophecy:  This means that Calvary fulfilled the Seventy Weeks prophecy.   All of the prophecies concerning the first Advent were fulfilled in Jesus Christ.

'Sealed up' means ratified.

To Anoint the Most Holy:  John 12:1-16 (Mark 14:3)

The first set of 7 weeks (49 yrs) was rebuilding Jerusalem.

After 62 more weeks of years (434 years), Yahshua’s baptism took place at the hand of John the Baptist. So, the first 69 weeks (483 years) brings us to the beginning of Jesus’ mission in Judaea.

Having achieved the age of thirty (Luke 3:23), Jesus was eligible to become a priest of Israel.

Yahshua confirmed the Covenant with His people, Israel, during the final week of the 70 weeks prophecy. His fellowshipping with His disciples in Bethany and Jerusalem during Holy Week.

The Last Supper was the actual event at which the New Covenant of Jeremiah 31:31-37 was instituted.

The “midst of the week” is a reference to the final prophetic week (final 7 years),the baptism of John in the Jordan River, which, although occurring in the middle of the final “week,” was the BEGINNING of His ministry, which was 3 ½ years.

Vision of the plumbline

Amos 7:1  Thus hath Yahweh GOD shewed unto me; and, behold, He formed grasshoppers in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth (spring crop); and, lo, it was the latter growth (spring crop) after the king's mowings.

Amos prays for Israel.

 7:2  And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Yahweh GOD, forgive (H5545- pardon), I beseech You: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.   (Is 55:17)

 7:3  Yahweh repented (was regretful, relented) for this: It shall not be, saith Yahweh.

This is reminiscent of the parallel prophecy in Joel chapter 1:2-7

This prophecy in Amos, like all of the prophecies concerning the great Day of Judgment of the people of Yahweh, seems to be a dual prophecy corresponding to the judgment against the mountains of Israel in the latter days which we see in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. The locusts, caterpillars, palmerworms and cankerworms, the “great army” which Yahweh sends among His people (Joel 2:25), represent alien races.

Here in Amos, we see the grasshoppers did not come to devour the land until “the latter growth after the king's mowings.” This seems to indicate that the government gets its share of the produce of the people first, and then the aliens eat up whatever is left. This is precisely what we perceive of our national situation today, after the swarms of the enemy have come in like a cloud to cover the land (Ezekiel 38:9, 16).

Deuteronomy 32:36  For Yahweh shall judge His people, and repent (relent) Himself for His servants, when He seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.

 7:4  Thus hath Yahweh GOD shewed unto me: and, behold, Yahweh GOD called to contend (for a trial) by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part.

The Septuagint reads: “...Yahweh called for judgment by fire,...”.

The Hebrew has: “...Yahweh Elohiym called for a trial by fire,...”.

 7:5  Then said I, O Yahweh GOD, cease, I beseech You: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.

The people of Israel in Samaria had been greatly reduced from their former glory.

 7:6  Yahweh repented (was regretful, relented) for this: This also shall not be, saith Yahweh GOD.

 7:7  Thus He shewed me: and, behold, Yahweh stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in His hand.

 7:8  And Yahweh said unto me, Amos, what seest you? And I said, A plumbline. Then said Yahweh, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of My people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:

Yahweh divides the people with a plumbline, which ostensibly determines which of them would survive and go into captivity, and which of them would remain behind, either dead or alive.

 7:9  And the high places (of pagan worship) of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.

The “house of Jeroboam” is a reference is to Jeroboam II, who was king as Amos was prophesying. The places of idolatry would all be destroyed.

Again, the obedient and repentant remnant would survive and be pardoned.

Micah 7:18  Who is a God like unto You, that pardoneth (H5375- lifteth up) iniquity (crookedness, guilt), and passeth by (over) the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He retaineth not His anger for ever, because He delighteth in mercy.

 7:19  He will turn again (turn back), He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and You (Yahweh) wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

 7:20  You wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which You hast sworn unto our (fore) fathers from the days of old.

Luke 1:72  To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember His holy covenant;

Psalm 105:9  Which covenant He made with Abraham, and His oath unto Isaac;

The hope of the children of Israel is manifest exclusively in Yahshua Christ. This book, these prophecies, promises and covenants were made to the children of Israel. Nobody else fits into this family heritage.

So we see in the Old Testament that FORGIVENESS is not a general word.

It means to pardon, lift up, bear, and cover over our sins and our condition of guilt. Repentance is key. Without repentance, heart-felt sincere repentance, there is no 'forgiveness'.

Now let's examine the New Testament.

Presenting this prayer, Christ is talking about sin and forgiveness. The trials which He tells us to ask God for relief from must therefore be the trials related to sin, whether those trials which lead the weaker among us into sin, or those trials which are a direct result of our sin. We ask our father in our necessity, and He shall provide for us.

Matthew 6:9  After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be your name.

 6:10  Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

 6:11  Give us this day our daily bread.

Job 23:12  Neither have I gone back from the commandment of His lips; I have esteemed the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.

Proverbs 30:8  Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:

 6:12  And forgive (G863- send forth/away) us our debts, as we forgive (G863- send forth/away) our debtors.   (Luke 11:4)

 6:13  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

 6:14  For if ye forgive (G863- send forth/away) men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive (G863- send forth/away) you (your trespasses):

 6:15  But if ye forgive (G863- send forth/away) not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive (G863- send forth/away) your trespasses.

 6:16  Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Your fasting and your repenting are not for you to make a show of how 'pious' you are. You must be sincere and have knowledge of how and why you must send forth and away the errors of your kinsmen when they ask for your 'forgiveness'. Likewise when you ask your kinsmen or Yahweh for 'forgiveness' you are sincerely repenting and asking for your errors, sins, rebellion, condition of guilt, and wrongs to be sent away.

G863 aphiemi means: to send forth/away, forgive, omit, lay aside, remit, disregard, let go, keep no longer.

Matthew 8:14  And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, He saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.

 8:15  And He touched her hand, and the fever left (G863- was sent forth/away from) her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.

 8:16  When the even was come, they brought unto Him many that were possessed with devils: and He cast out the spirits with His word, and healed all that were sick:

 8:17  That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

Isaiah 53:4  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

1Peter 2:24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Matthew 9:1  And He entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into His own city.

 9:2  And, behold, they brought to Him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith (belief, moral conviction) said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; your sins be forgiven (G863- sent forth, separated from) you.

 9:3  And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.

 9:4  And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?

 9:5  For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven (G863- sent away from) you; or to say, Arise, and walk?

The Edomite Jew scribes should have seen the truth of the power of God and praised it. Rather, when they saw Yahshua heal the paralytic, their hearts were even more hardened because then their own authority was challenged.

 9:6  But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive (G863- send away) sins, (then saith He to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up your bed, and go unto your house.

 9:7  And he arose, and departed to his house.

The same account is in Mark 2:1-10 and Luke 5:20-24 and uses the same word aphiemi H863, to send forth.

Matthew 12:30  He that is not with Me is against Me; and he that gathereth not with Me scattereth abroad.

 12:31  Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven (G863- sent forth/away, remitted) unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven (G863- sent forth/away, remitted) unto men.

 12:32  And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man (Adam), it shall be forgiven (G863- remitted, sent forth/away from) him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven (G863- remitted, sent forth/away from) him, neither in this world (age), neither in the world (age) to come.   (Luke 12:10)

Matthew 18:21  Then came Peter to Him, and said, Prince, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive (G863- send forth his sins away from) him? till seven times?

 18:22  Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto you, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Colossians 3:13  Being patient with one another and being forgiving (showing favor) to each other. If one should have a cause for complaint against anyone, then just as the Prince has forgiven (shown favor to) you, so also you do.

 18:23  Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take (settle, reckon) account of his servants.

 18:24  And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.

 18:25  But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his master commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

 18:26  The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.

 18:27  Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed (G630- sent forth, set at liberty, pardoned, released) him, and forgave (G863- sent away from) him the debt.

 18:28  But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that you owest.

 18:29  And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.

 18:30  And he would not (have patience with him): but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.

 18:31  So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their master all that was done.

 18:32  Then his master, after that he had called him, said unto him, O you wicked servant, I forgave (G863- sent forth/away from) you all that debt, because you desiredst (begged, intreated of) me:

 18:33  Shouldest not you also have had compassion on your fellowservant, even as I had pity on you?

 18:34  And his master was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.

 18:35  So likewise shall My heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive (G863- send away) not every one his brother their trespasses.

Proverbs 21:13  Whoso stoppeth (shut, close) his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.

So much for 'once saved always saved'.

Matthew 26:26  And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is My body.

 26:27  And He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

 26:28  For this is My blood of the new (renewed) testament (covenant), which is shed for many for the remission (G859- of the penalty) of sins.

Exodus 24:8  And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which Yahweh hath made with you concerning all these words.

Leviticus 17:11  For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

All these things were done to and for the children of Israel. When someone makes a covenant or promise with you, it does not include anyone else.

Amos 3:2  You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

Only Israel was given the law, only Israel will be judged by the law, Christ came for Israel and died for Israel, so Israel may live, and so Israel may be remarried to Yahweh.

Matthew 27:15  Now at that feast the governor was wont to release (G630- set free, acquit, pardon, set at liberty, send forth) unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.

 27:16  And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.

 27:17  Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release (G630- pardon, send forth) unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?

 27:18  For he knew that for envy they (the Jews) had delivered Him.

 27:19  When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have you nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of Him.

 27:20  But the chief priests and elders (Jews) persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

They (Jews) are still at it, persuading the multitudes. Paid agitation. George Soros, BLM, Zionist agenda, media mind control.

 27:21  The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release (G630- send forth) unto you? They said, Barabbas.

 27:22  Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto Him, Let Him be crucified.

The Greek ends this verse with '...He must be crucified!'.

 27:23  And the governor said, Why, what evil hath He done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let Him be crucified.

 27:24  When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

Pilate found no crime. He told the Edomite priests “you see to it.”

 27:25  Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

 27:26  Then released (G630- sent forth) he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered Him to be crucified.

Mark 1:4  John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission (G859- of the penalty) of sins.  (Luke 3:3)

Repentance is G3341 metanoia, meaning, a change of mind. Think different, reconsider (morally to feel compunction for guilt, including reformation); by implication reversal.

As children of the Most High we feel remorse when we act according to the flesh.

When we repent, it must be sincere and must come with a change in thinking and action.

Mark 3:28  Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven (G863- sent forth/away) unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:

 3:29  But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit hath never forgiveness (G859- remission of the penalty of sin), but is in danger of eternal damnation:

This is the same account in Matthew 12:31-32. The only difference is here in Mark, he uses G859 in verse 29. Aphesis, freedom, deliverance, remission, release from bondage/imprisonment, pardon, and remission of the penalty of sin.

In addition to G859 in the underlined usage is G3756- no, not: affirmative answer, G1519- into, unto, to, towards, for, among, and G165- forever, an umbroken age, perpetuity, eternity, without end.

Mark's account emphasizes NEVER and FOREVER.

When Christ spoke to the multitudes He spoke in parables. His message is not for everyone.

Mark 4:10  And when He was alone, they that were about Him (those of His relations) with the twelve asked of Him the parable.

 4:11  And He said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without (outside the covenant), all these things are done in parables:

 4:12  That seeing they may see, and do not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and do not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven (G863- sent away from) them.

Christ goes on to tell His disciples the parable of the sower.

Four types of people are illustrated in this parable, and we can readily see that the majority of our people today are of three of those types.

Those by the road: where he sows the Word and when they hear it, immediately the Adversary comes and takes the Word sown in them. The people by the road are in a place of traffic where there are many passers-by. There is the truth, and then there are many other ideas and philosophies, most of which are created by the Adversary, or Satan. You can hear the truth, and before it takes root – or develops - in you, one of these with their disputations and alternate theories comes along and convinces you out of it.

These are those sown upon the rocks: which when they should hear the Word, receive it immediately with joy, and they do not have root in themselves but are temporary, since upon the coming of tribulation or persecution on account of the Word immediately they are entrapped. You can hear the truth, and believe it and perhaps even be comfortable with it. But unless you study for yourself why it is the truth, you will not be well established in it, having no foundation of your own. So when you are questioned, and persecuted for what you profess to believe, you will break down and perhaps even begin to renounce it, because you cannot provide the solid answers which are necessary to convict your persecutors.

Those sown in the thorns: hearing the Word, the cares of this age and the deceit of riches and desires for the future entering in strangle the Word and it becomes fruitless. These people love the world more than they love God. They hear the Word, but they decline to live after the Word, because they would rather become wealthy in the world. Difficult it is, to become wealthy in today's world without first embracing the enemies of God. These are today's “churches”.

Those sown upon the good earth: who hear and take up the Word and bear fruit, one thirty fold and one sixty and one a hundred. These are the few, those who hear the truth and pursue it. They study it for themselves so that it develops within their minds, and they become firmly established in it. These people are unshakable, and know and can answer their accusers, and are also able to teach their brethren to do the same, thereby bearing fruit.

Not everybody will see and hear His Word. Those of us who are humbled, seek the truth with study and action, repent, and pray for eyes and ears will grow and bear fruit.

Christ does not want to 'forgive' those who will keep habitually sinning.

Mark 11:25  And when ye stand praying, forgive (G863- send the sins forth/away), if ye have ought against any(one): that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive (G863- send forth/away) you your trespasses.

Make sure you have forgiven your brethren before you ask the same of Yahweh.

 11:26  But if ye do not forgive (G863- send away their trespasses), neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive (G863- send away) your trespasses.

Luke 1:76  And You, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for You shalt go before the face of Yahweh to prepare His ways (path);

Isaiah 40:3  The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of Yahweh, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.  (Mal 3:1)

 1:77  To give knowledge of salvation unto His people by the remission (G859- of the penalty) of their sins,

 1:78  Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring (rising of light) from on high hath visited us,

 1:79  To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Luke 2:25  And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Spirit was upon him.

 2:26  And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Spirit, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ (the Anointed Prince).

 2:27  And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for Him after the custom of the law (circumcision on the 8th day),

 2:28  Then took he Him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,

 2:29  Master, now lettest You Your servant depart (G630- be sent forth) in peace, according to Your word:

 2:30  For mine eyes have seen Your salvation,  (Isa 52:10)

 2:31  Which You hast prepared before the face of all people;

It should read '...of all the people;'. The people of light. The anointed seed of Jacob.

 2:32  A light for the revelation of the Nations and honor of Your people Israel.

Luke 3:3  And he (John) came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission (G859- of the penalty) of sins;  (Mark 1:4)

Luke 4:16  And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up: and, as His custom was, He went into the synagogue (assembly hall) on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

 4:17  And there was delivered unto Him the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written,

 4:18  The Spirit of Yahweh is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor (in Spirit); He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance (G859- release, remission of the penalty of sin) to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty (G859- pardon) them that are bruised,

 4:19  To preach the acceptable year of Yahweh.

Here we have a bold proclamation by Christ, that He is indeed the Messiah, since the prophecy of Isaiah which He quotes here concerns the promises of deliverance which Yahweh God made to Israel, that He would be their Saviour and deliver them from the captivity which they had suffered.

Isaiah 61:1  The Spirit of Yahweh GOD is upon me; because Yahweh hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

2  To proclaim a year acceptable by Yahweh, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

Book of Adam and Eve 50:10-11

9 God said also to Adam, "See this fire kindled by Satan around thy cave; see this wonder that surrounds thee; and know that it will encompass about both thee and thy seed, when ye hearken to his behest; that he will plague you with fire; and that ye shall go down into hell after ye are dead.

10 "Then shall ye see the burning of his fire, that will thus be burning around you and your seed. There shall be no deliverance from it for you, but at My coming; in like manner as thou canst not now go into thy cave, by reason of the great fire around it; not until My Word (Yahshua- John 1:1) shall come that will make a way for thee on the day My covenant is fulfilled.

11 "There is no way for thee at present to come from hence to rest, not until My Word comes, who is My Word. Then will He make a way for thee, and thou shalt have rest." Then God called with His Word to that fire that burned around the cave, that it part itself asunder, until Adam had gone through it. Then the fire parted itself by God's order, and a way was made for Adam.

 4:20  And He closed the book, and He gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on Him.

 4:21  And He began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Luke 6:36  Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

 6:37  Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive (G630- send forth sin), and ye shall be forgiven (G630- have your sins sent forth):

 6:38  Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete (measure) withal it shall be measured to you again.

Luke 7:19  And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art You He that should come? or look we for another?

 7:20  When the men were come unto Him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto You, saying, Art You He that should come? or look we for another?

 7:21  And in that same hour He cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind He gave (G5483- granted) sight.

G5483 is charizomai, to show favor.

 7:22  Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

 7:36  And one of the Pharisees desired Him that He would eat with him. And He went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.

 7:37  And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,

 7:38  And stood at His feet behind Him weeping, and began to wash His feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed His feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

 7:39  Now when the Pharisee which had bidden (invited) Him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if He were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth Him: for she is a sinner.

 7:40  And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto yee. And he saith, Master, say on.

 7:41  There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.

 7:42  And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave (G5483- show favor to) them both. Tell Me therefore, which of them will love him most?

 7:43  Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave (G5483- pardoned) most. And He said unto him, You hast rightly judged.

 7:44  And He turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into your house, you gavest Me no water for My feet: but she hath washed My feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.

 7:45  You gavest Me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss My feet.

 7:46  My head with oil you didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed My feet with ointment.

Psalm 23:5  Thou preparest a table before Me in the presence of Mine enemies: thou anointest My head with oil; My cup runneth over.

 7:47  Wherefore I say unto yee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven (G863- sent forth/away); for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven (G863- sent away), the same loveth little.

 7:48  And He said unto her, Your sins are forgiven (G863- sent forth/away).

 7:49  And they that sat at meat with Him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth (G863- sends forth/away) sins also?

 7:50  And He said to the woman, Your faith (conviction) hath saved (preserved) you; go in peace.

Luke 13:10  And He was teaching in one of the synagogues (assembly halls) on the sabbath.

 13:11  And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.

 13:12  And when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him, and said unto her, Woman, you art loosed (G630- sent forth) from your infirmity.

 13:13  And He laid His hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

 13:14  And the ruler of the synagogue (assembly hall) answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.

 13:15  The Prince then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?

 13:16  And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

 13:17  And when He had said these things, all His adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him.

The Jewish Pharisees hated Yahshua because He was teaching the truth to His people, who apparently have been taught lies and deception in the synagogues by the false Jew priests. Very much like today's “churches” that teach the same doctrines of men. No wonder our country, nation and people are crooked and bowed.

Luke 14:1  And it came to pass, as He went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched Him.

 14:2  And, behold, there was a certain man before Him which had the dropsy (virtigo).

 14:3  And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day?

 14:4  And they held their peace. And He took him, and healed him, and let him go (G630- sent him forth);

 14:5  And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?

Not only are we required to assist our brethren even when at odds, we must honor the sabbath by doing good. Something the Jew Pharisees never could understand, mercy and compassion, and truth.

Luke 17:3  Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against you, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive (G863- send his sins away from) him.

 17:4  And if he trespass against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to you, saying, I repent; you shalt forgive (G863- send his sins away from) him.

Luke 23:34  Then said Jesus, Father, forgive (G863- send forth their sins from) them; for they know not what they do. And they parted His raiment, and cast lots.

In verse 34, Christ is talking about those Israelites (Judaeans, Romans, Greeks) that were deceived by the priesthood and had no understanding of what they were doing.

Luke 24:44  And He said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning Me.

 24:45  Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

What things we perceive in this life are within the provenance of God, and unless God guides a man, the man will remain in blindness. We must consider these things when relating those things which we see as Truth to our brethren who are blinded with the things of the world. Repentance and recognition of God comes before a restoration of vision in every case where Christ healed the blind.

 24:46  And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

 24:47  And that repentance and remission (G859- of the penalty) of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Acts 13:38  Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man (Christ) is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

Psalm 22:27  All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto Yahweh: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before You.

In verse 47, Christ commanded His disciples to take the gospel to all of the nations, not to all nations, as the KJV and others ignore the definite article 'the' when it is convenient for them to do so.

The message is for the nations of Israel. The 12 tribes and their descendants, who are the Anglo-Saxon nations of the world today.

Some “churches” teach that the law was “done away with”. Verse 47 teaches otherwise. We sin everyday, we must constantly strive to imitate Him and to ask for forgiveness. Christianity is a 'practice'. A state of mind. A heritage. The Way. Our Way.

John 20:19  Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

 20:20  And when He had so said, He shewed unto them His hands and His side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Prince.

 20:21  Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as My Father hath sent Me, even so send I you.

 20:22  And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Spirit:

The Greek has, 'He inhaled, and said to them “Receive the Holy Spirit.”

Symbolic of Genesis 2:7 when Yahweh breathed His Spirit into Adam.

He gave His disciples powers to heal and to 'forgive'.

 20:23  Whose soever sins ye remit (G863- send forth/away), they are remitted (G863- sent forth/away) unto (from) them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

Acts chapter 2 is Peter's sermon. The gospel of Christ. The promise to Israel. Repent, for being ignorant Judaeans, they were part of Christ's death. Many received his word.

Acts is a record of how Christ affected men and redirected their thinking and their loyalties. Because of Christ's powerful influence, men's spirits changed from seeking idols to seeking truth.

Acts is a book that demonstrates a transition from doctrines of men to the doctrine of Christ.

Peter reminds the people of who they are, and Whose they are.

Acts 2:36  Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Yahshua, whom ye have crucified, both His Prince and Christ.

 2:37  Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren (Men, brothers), what shall we do?  (Luke 3:10)

Zechariah 12:10  And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace (favor) and of supplications: and they shall look upon Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

The Jews of Judaea got what they wanted, for now, they killed God. But the Israelites of Judaea that were deceived by the Edomite priesthood ignorantly participated in the death of Christ. Yahweh's spirit of mercy filled some of the Israelites and they asked “what shall we do?”.

 2:38  Then Peter said unto them, Repent (meaning 'change your way'), and be baptized (immersed) every one of you in the name (knowledge and understanding) of Jesus Christ for the remission (G859- of the penalty) of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  (Luke 24:47)

Acts 3:12  And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye  men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

 3:13  The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified His Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied Him in the presence of Pilate, when He was determined to let Him go.  (John 12:16)

 3:14  But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer (Barabas) to be granted (G5483- shown favor, pardoned, released) unto you;

 3:15  And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

Why did the translators choose to correctly use the word 'Prince' here instead of 'Lord'? It should say Prince, Master, or Teacher in every place that they changed it to 'Lord' in the NT. Lord comes from Baal. When you call on the title of 'Lord', you are calling on Satan.

 3:16  And His name through faith in His name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by Him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

The Greek:

16  And by the faith of His Name (Prince Yahshua), he (the lame man) whom you see and know His Name (Prince Yahshua) has strengthened, and the faith which is through Him (Yahshua) has given to him (the lame man) this soundness (wholeness) before all of you.

 3:17  And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.

 3:18  But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, He hath so fulfilled.  (Luke 24:44)

 3:19  Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Prince;

Note that the apostles are still teaching that we must obey Yahweh's laws, even after Christ's death. So the law was NOT “done away with”, only the sacrificial rituals and ordinances. We must also repent and convert.

Acts 5:25  Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.

 5:26  Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.

 5:27  And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,

 5:28  Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name (Christ Yahshua)? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's (Christ's) blood upon us.

The Edomite Sadducees were accusing the apostles of the doctrine of Christ!?! This alone proves that the Sadducees and Pharisees doctrine was NOT the doctrine of Christ. And the Sadducees and Pharisees WERE responsible for Christ's death.  They agitated the people and instigated these riots.

 5:29  Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

 5:30  The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.

 5:31  Him hath God exalted with His right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness (G859- of the penalty) of sins.

Forgiveness of the penalty of sin to repentant Israel. Specific. Only. His people. A certain seed.

 5:32  And we are His witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Spirit, whom God hath given to them that obey Him.  (John 15:26-27)

The 'we' and the 'them' are Israelites. The 'so is' is in italics, meaning added by the translators. We are Christ's and the Holy Spirit's witnesses.

 5:33  When they (Sadducees) heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them (apostles).

Acts 8:18  And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money,

 8:19  Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Spirit.

 8:20  But Peter said unto him, Your money perish with you, because you hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

 8:21  You hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for your heart is not right in the sight of God.

 8:22  Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven (G863- sent forth/away from) you.

2Timothy 2:25  In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

Acts 10:40  Him God raised up the third day, and shewed Him openly;

 10:41  Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with Him after He rose from the dead.

 10:42  And He commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is He which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

 10:43  To Him give all the prophets witness, that through His name whosoever believeth in Him shall receive remission (G859- of the penalty) of sins.

Isaiah 53:11  He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied: by His knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for He shall bear their iniquities.

Acts 13:37  But He, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.

 13:38  Be it known unto you therefore, men, brethren, that through this Man (Christ) is preached unto you the forgiveness (G859- of the penalty) of sins:  (Jer 31:34)

Acts 26:15  And I said, Who art You, master? And He said, I am Jesus whom you persecutest.

 26:16  But rise, and stand upon your feet: for I have appeared unto you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of these things which you hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto you;

 26:17  Delivering you from the people, and from the Gentiles (nations of Israel outside Judaea), unto whom now I send you,

 26:18  To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness (G859- remission of the penalty) of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith (allegiance) that is in Me.

Long lost truth+understanding+repentance+sincerity+daily righteous effort=Remission of the penalty of sin.

Romans 6:23  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Prince.

Romans 4:2  For if Abraham were justified by works (sacrificial rituals) , he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.

 4:3  For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

Abraham trusted what Yahweh God promised him. It wasn't the commanded sacrifice that would have justified him. Anyone in the OT that sacrificed an animal for their sin wouldn't need Yahweh then if the rituals justified them.

 4:4  Now to him that worketh (performs rituals) is the reward not reckoned of grace (favor), but of debt.

Because the rituals were the atonement for sin, the debt. The sacrifices were just a temporary covering over (propitiation) of them.

The reward is from favor, not debt.

 4:5  But to him that worketh not (not performing rituals), but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

 4:6  Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works (rituals),

 4:7  Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities (lawlessnesses) are forgiven (G863- sent forth/away), and whose sins are covered (G1943- concealed).

 4:8  Blessed is the man to whom Yahweh will not impute (reckon) sin.

Interesting the related words for G1943 include to cover over, upon, hide, veil, hinder the knowledge of a thing, conceal, keep secret.

It is Christ who carries our burdens and our sins.

Romans 8:27  And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

1Chronicles 28:9  ...know thou the God of thy father, and serve Him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for Yahweh searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek Him, He will be found of thee; but if thou forsake Him, He will cast thee off for ever.

 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.

John 14:15  If ye love Me, keep My commandments.

 8:29  For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

The purpose is to imitate His example.

 8:30  Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified.

1Peter 2:9  But ye are a chosen generation (race), a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light:

1Corinthians 6:11  And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Prince Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

 8:31  What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

 8:32  He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give (G5483- grant favor/forgiveness, pardon) us all things?

 8:33  Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

It is clear that verse 32 is referring to not only favor of righteous desire, but also forgiveness (pardoning) of transgression.

1Corinthians 2:12  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world (society), but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given (G5483- shown favor) to us of God.

In chapter 2 Paul states that there is a difference within those of the spirit race and those of the earth.

The scriptures do not teach that the other races received the spirit. It was breathed personally by Yahweh into Adam. It was through the race of Adam that the chosen seedline was shown this favor to. The children of Jacob Israel. Scripture is loaded with exclusive references to Israel and no one else. Do you yet know who true Israel is?

1Corinthians 5:1  It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Nations, that one should have his father's wife.

5  To deliver such an one unto the adversary for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be preserved in the day of the Prince Jesus.

2 Corinthians 2:6  Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.

 2:7  So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive (G5483- show favor) him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with much sorrow.

Galatians 6:1  Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest you also be tempted.

 2:8  Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him.

 2:9  For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.

In I Corinthians, some of the letter was about a certain man who engaged in incest. The Corinthians were to cast him out of their community if he did not repent and change his ways. They dealt with the problem. If they followed the letter of the law, they would have been like the Pharisees, but they honored the law by being merciful. He apparently did repent and was allowed back into the congregation. We must strive to obey the law, but also have mercy towards our sincere brethren who return to The Way.

 2:10  To whom ye forgive (G5483- show favor in) any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave (G5483- shown favor in) any thing (the matter), to whom I forgave (G5483- shown favor to) it (that one), for your sakes forgave I it in the person (presence) of Christ;

Seems to be referring to the matter of the man who repented and changed his incestuous ways.

 2:11  Lest Satan (the Adversary) should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

2Corinthians 12:13  For what is it wherein ye were inferior to other churches (assemblies), except it be that I myself was not burdensome to you? forgive (G5483- show favor to) me (in) this wrong.

Paul was being sarcastic. They would have been offended if he did not accept their gratuity.

 12:14  Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours, but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.

Paul felt like he was their father because he brought them the gospel. They were like his children receiving his encouragement.

Galatians 3:16  Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ (Anointed).

The Greek is much clearer:

16  Now to Abraham the promises have been spoken, and to his offspring. It does not say “and to offsprings”, as of many; but as of one: “and to your offspring.” which are anointed.

 3:17  And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

'in Christ' is not in the original texts.

The written law of Moses was given 430 years after the promises were given to Abraham.

Romans 4:13  For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith (allegiance).

 3:18  For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave (G5483- shown favor) it to Abraham by promise.

The covenant (promise) has nothing to do with the law. Our free gift of salvation is because of the promise, but we can be 'blotted out' if we do not practice and strive for the faith OF Christ. Christ demonstrated the perfect example of what a Christian Israelite is.

Paul praises and blesses Yahweh for His blessings among His anointed. The Isrealites in Ephesus that responded to His holy calling. Blameless and accepted because of their obedience and allegiance in Him.

Ephesians 1:7  In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness (G859- of the penalty) of sins (falling away, trespasses, transgressions, error), according to the riches of His grace (favor);

Without repentance, there is no forgiveness. The penalty of sin is death.

The context is brotherly love. Paul was in bonds in Rome when he wrote to the Ephesians to walk worthy of the calling. To keep the unity of peace. One body, one Spirit, one Prince Yahshua, one faith (allegiance), one baptism (immersion of knowledge and understanding of truth). To not be carried about with Judeo-Christianity and doctrines of men which deceive. But speaking truth in love, edification, and favor towards your kinsmen. Not letting the sun go down upon your wrath or give favor to the devil.

Ephesians 4:31  Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

 4:32  And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving (G5483- showing favor to) one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven (G5483- shown favor to) you.

Philipians 1:29  For unto you it (salvation) is given (G5483- as a favor) on the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His sake;

The “churches” teach “just believe”. And that you won't have to suffer because He's going to take you away in the “rapture”.

Scripture teaches that you will be tried through fire, and your works, your faith (allegiance) will shine through.

We will go through tribulation. (Acts 14:22, Rom 5:3, 8:35,12:12, 1 Thes 3:4, Rev 7:14)

 1:30  Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.

Paul was in prison in Rome when he wrote Philipians.

Colossians 1:9  For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

What is His will?

 1:10  That ye might walk worthy of the Prince unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

 1:11  Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

Here is an example of increasing in knowledge: Do you know the name of God? God is not a name, neither is Lord, it's a title. The name of our Father is Yahweh (YHWH in Hebrew). Try sending mail to 'man'. Impossible. You must use the name.

Ephesians 3:16  That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man;

 1:12  Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet (qualifies us) to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

The context is still increasing in knowledge and understanding. The proof is in verses 21-22

 1:13  Who hath delivered (rescued) us from the power (authority) of darkness (Satan), and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son:

 1:14  In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness (G859- remission of the penalty) of sins:

 1:21  And you (dispersed of Israel), that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind (thoughts) by wicked works,

Ephesians 2:1  And you hath He quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

 1:22  yet now hath He reconciled, in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable (void of offense) in His sight:

 1:23  If  ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature (creation) which is under heaven (the sky); whereof I Paul am made a minister;

There must be knowledge and understanding, repentance and conformity, and sincerity. Without these, the penalty of sin stands.

Colossians 2:13  And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath He quickened (made alive) together with Him, having forgiven (G5483- shown favor to) you all trespasses;

The dispersed Nations of Israel stopped the circumcision of the flesh when they left and/or were took captive from the Promised Land. Because of this they lost and/or forgot their heritage.

 2:14  Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross;

 2:15  And having spoiled (stripping) principalities and powers (authorities), He made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

No translations say anything about the law being “done away with”. The “churches” teach that the law was “done away with”.

The context here is about the ordinances and 'added' decrees by the religion of the Jews, the traditions of men, which is Judaism. Today it's Judeo-Christianity.

The scribes, Pharisees and Sadducees took the law of Moses and perverted it into 'the traditions of the elders', which is Judaism. Today it is called the Talmud. This is the Jews Bible.

The Pharisees taught that it was against their law to do good on the Sabbath. That if a brother or even an ox were to fall in a ditch on a Sabbath, you, by their 'traditions' could not help them out.

What was Christ constantly rebuked for by these Edomite Priests? Healing on the Sabbath and that His disciples didn't follow the 'traditions of the elders' and wash their hands before eating.

These are some of the 'added' charges, decrees, obligations, or bonds, of their religion. The dogmas added by men.

So Paul is saying that since Christ died on the cross, the rituals and Levitical ordinances were done away with. In addition, making the 'added' obligations of Judaism of none effect. Now the corrupt Jewish priesthood would have no authority.

Colossians 3:12  Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels (affections) of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;  (1 Pet 1:2)

Who are the 'elect'? The “believers”? No. Who was dedicated on the alter to Yahweh? The seed of Abraham. Isaac. The Anointed, called out, set apart, holy and sanctified children of Israel.

 3:13  Forbearing one another, and forgiving (G5483- showing favor to) one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave (G5483- has shown favor to) you, so also do ye.

 3:14  And above all these things put on charity (love), which is the bond (joining) of perfectness.

Philemon 1:21  Having confidence in your obedience I wrote unto you, knowing that you wilt also do more than I say.

 1:22  But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given (G5483- granted favor) (released from prison) unto you.

Hebrews 9:22  And almost all things are by the law (according to the torah) purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission (G859- of the penalty of sin).

 9:27  And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

 9:28  So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation.  (Rom 6:10, 1 Pet 3:18, 2:24)

The last part is in a different order in the Greek: 'He shall appear a second time apart from errors, to those who look to Him for preservation.'

Hebrews 10:15  Whereof the Holy Spirit also is a witness to us: for after that He had said before,

 10:16  This is the covenant that I will make with them (the 12 tribes) after those days, saith Yahweh, I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

 10:17  And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

 10:18  Now where remission (G859- of the penalty) of these (sins) is, there is no more offering for sin.

We do not need to perform ritual offerings anymore, walking in His example is what He desires. Striving for righteousness.

 10:19  Having therefore, brethren, boldness (liberty) to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

 10:20  By a new and living way, which He hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh;

John 10:9  I am the door: by Me if any man enter in, He shall be saved (preserved), and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

 10:21  And having an high priest (Christ) over the house of God;

 10:22  Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith (moral conviction), having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water (the Word).

James 5:14  Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church (assembly); and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Prince (Yahshua):

The beginning of verse 14 should not be a question. It should read 'Any sick among you must summon the elders...'

 5:15  And the prayer of faith (moral conviction) shall save (preserve) the sick, and the Prince shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven (G863- sent forth/away from) him.  (Is 33:24)

 5:16  Confess (acknowledge) your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.  (Num 11:2)

John 9:31  Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth His will, him He heareth.

1John 1:9  If we confess our sins, He is faithful (trustworthy) and just to forgive (G863- send forth from) us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Sincerely confess our sins. The present cleansing is not for future errors. Our faith (allegiance) is an ongoing thing. Some ask for forgiveness every night, eager to start the next day practicing His example.

 1:10  If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

By this self admission of being “saved”, the person is putting themselves into the position of complete, fulfilled, errorless and ready for “the rapture”. By practicing this empty statement, we make Him a liar, because Christ has not returned yet, in still exists, and you 'practice' it everyday.

Unrepentant sinners have no communion with Yahweh.

1John 2:12  I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven (G863- sent forth/away from) you for His name's sake.

We owe Yahshua a great big sincere thank You for bearing our sins. For lifting up from upon us and sending forth our transgressions. For covering over our errors and iniquities. We also owe it to our repentant kinsmen to lift up and send forth their sins which they have done against us. How else would we be 'forgiven' if we do not 'forgive'?
