THESSALONIANS 2
The second epistle to the Thessalonians was written from Athens.
Written to clarify the first letter.
The original Greek will be used for correction and restoration.
This letter is meant to be read without a break.
Salutation
2Thessalonians 1:1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church (assembly) of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Prince Jesus (Yahshua) Christ:
1:2 Grace (favor, Divine influence) unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Prince Jesus (Yahshua) Christ.
Thanksgiving
1:3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet (deserving), because that your faith (The Belief of you) groweth exceedingly, and the charity (love) of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
1:4 So that we ourselves glory (boast) in you in the churches (assemblies) of God for your patience and faith (belief) in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
The Judgment at Christ's Coming
1:5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
1:6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
The Greek: 6 For indeed it is righteous with Yahweh to repay those afflicting you with affliction,
Revelation 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Master, holy and true, do You not judge and avenge our blood on them (children of the Devil) that dwell on the earth?
And Christ speaking to the Edomite scribes and Pharisees:
Matthew 23:35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
Luke 11:51 From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation (race, seed of Satan).
1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Master Jesus (Yahshua) shall be revealed from heaven (the sky) with His mighty angels (messengers), (Rev 14:13; 1Thes 4:16; Jude 14)
1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Prince Jesus (Yahshua) Christ:
Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.
2Peter 3:7 But the skies and the land, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Master, and from the glory of His power; (Isa 2:10)
Philippians 3:19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
Deuteronomy 33:2 And he said, Yahweh came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; He shined forth from mount Paran, and He came with ten thousands of saints: from His right hand went a fiery law for them. (10 Commandments)
Isaiah 2:19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of Yahweh, and for the glory of His majesty, when He ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
1:10 When He shall come to be glorified (honored) in His saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (are believing) (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
Psalm 89:7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints (children of Israel), and to be had in reverence of all them that are about Him.
Psalm 68:35 O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is He that giveth strength and power unto His people. Blessed be God.
1:11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of His goodness, and the work of faith (belief) with power:
Many are 'called', few are 'chosen'. The seed of Jacob Israel is the 'called' seed. Of those that are 'called', the righteous are 'chosen'.
1:12 That the name of our Prince Yahshua Christ may be glorified (honored) in you, and ye in Him, according to the grace (favor, Divine influence) of our God and the Prince Jesus (Yahshua) Christ.
1Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith (allegiance), being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Yahshua Christ:
How might you be praised with honor for “just believing” if you are “raptured” and miss the trial by fire?
The man of Lawlessness
2Thessalonians 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Prince Jesus (Yahshua) Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him, (1Thes 4:15-17)
2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind (from this purpose), or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. (Eph 5:6)
2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; (Dan 11:36-39; Eze 28:2)
Matthew 24:4 And Yahshua answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Isaiah 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Revelation 13:6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, and His tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
1Corinthians 8:5 For though there be that are so-called gods, whether in the sky or in the land, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
1John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
1John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
The Greek, verses 3-4:
You should not be deceived by anyone, in any way, because if apostasy had not come first, and the man of lawlessness been revealed; the son of destruction, he who is opposing and exalting himself above everything said to be a god or an object of worship, and so he is seated in the temple of Yahweh, representing himself that he is a god.
The “churches” teach that there will be one man, the antichrist. Scripture teaches that anyone who is not with Christ, is against Christ. Hence, antichrist. The Jews are famous for denying Christ, and rightfully so because they are of their father the Devil.
These verses are aortic? past tense verbs. The action has already started, the apostasy when Paul wrote has already come. Referring to the children of Israel asking for a king. Eventually going astray from Yahweh being their king and being put out of the land. The man of lawlessness, the children of Satan, has already been revealed by Christ. Christ exposing the temple authorities being the Canaanite/Edomite Jews.
2:5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
2:6 And now ye know what withholdeth (prevails) that he might be revealed in his time.
6 And you know that which now prevails, for him to be revealed in his own time.
2:7 For the mystery of iniquity (lawlessness) doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already operating, he (man of sin) prevailing only presently until he should be out of the way,
2:8 And then shall that Wicked (the lawless) be revealed, whom the Prince shall consume with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming: (Dan 7:10)
Isaiah 11:4 But with righteousness shall He judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and He shall smite the earth with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips shall He slay the wicked.
2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, (Mat 24:24)
9 Whose presence is in accordance with the operation of the Adversary in all power and signs and wonders of falsehood,
2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved (preserved).
2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: (Mat 7:42; Joh 9:39, 12:40; Act 7:42; Rom 1:24-28)
People love their “church”. It's what they've always done, it's comfortable. They believe every word out of their preachers mouth. Jesus is a Jew, you are a “Gentile”, “just believe” and wait for the “rapture”, that you choose to be “saved”. Homos and mixed couples are tolerated.
People, the 'leaven' of the Pharisees has risen so high that the 'truth' has been covered with apostasy.
Romans 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
1Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith (allegiance), giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils (Judaism);
2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Romans 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
A strong delusion is the doctrine that today's “churches” teach. If you are not examining what you are learning, you might be in for a rude awakening.
Chosen for Salvation
2:13 But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Prince, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation (preservation) through (in) sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
1Thessalonians 1:4 Knowing, brethren beloved, your election by God.
Ephesians 1:4 According as He hath chosen us with Him before the foundation of the society, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:
2:14 Whereunto He called you by our gospel, to the obtaining (acquisition) of the glory (honor) of our Prince Yahshua Christ. (1Pet 5:10)
2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions (instructions) which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle (1Thes) .
2:16 Now our Prince Yahshua Christ Himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation (encouragement) and good hope (expectation) through grace (favor),
2:17 (May He) Comfort (encourage) your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
Scripture teaches to do more than “just believe”.
Request for Prayer
2Thessalonians 3:1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Prince may have free course, and be glorified (extolled), even as it is with you:
3:2 And that we may be delivered (protected) from unreasonable (disgusting) and wicked men: for all men have not faith (The Belief).
The Greek is very different for the last part of verse 2.
It should read '...since The Belief is not for all.'
Romans 15:31 That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea (Canaanites/Edomites, and deceived Israelites); and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints (True and practicing Israelites);
Acts 28:24 And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.
3:3 But the Prince is faithful (trustworthy), who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
3:4 And we have confidence in the Prince touching (concerning) you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command (instruct) you.
Were the apostles instructing people to “just believe”? No, they were teaching imitation of Christ. It's not 'be like Mike', it's 'be like Christ'.
3:5 And the Prince direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
The Greek: 5 Now the Prince is to keep your hearts straight in the love of Yahweh and in the endurance of the Anointed (the group, the people, the seed of Abraham).
Christ does not always refer to the Prince, it often pertains to the children of Israel, the Anointed seed.
1Chronicles 29:18 O Yahweh God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee (Yahweh):
Warning Against Idleness
3:6 Now we command (instruct) you, brethren, in the name of our Prince Yahshua Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
3:7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow (imitate) us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
3:8 Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought (freely); but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable (burdensome) to any of you:
The apostles did not ask for tithes. Tithing to the “church” is not scriptural. Neither is agreeing to the 501-C3 tax exemption status.
Acts 18:3 And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them (Aquila and Priscilla, Israelites), and wrought (worked): for by their occupation they were tentmakers.
When Paul could provide for himself , he did.
2Corinthians 11:9 And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable (burdensome) to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself.
Tithing wasn't mandatory, it was acts of charity and edification. Providing in times of need.
3:9 Not because we have not power (authority), but to make ourselves an example unto you to follow (imitate) us.
3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded (instructed) you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
3:11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
Mind your own business.
3:12 Now them that are such we command (instruct) and exhort by our Prince Yahshua Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. (1Thes 4:11)
3:13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint (falter) not.
3:14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
If people separate themselves from the disobedient, they should get the idea of repentance.
3:15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
Leviticus 19:17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.
Titus 3:10 A man that is an heretick (sectarian) after the first and second admonition (warning, rebuke) reject;
3:11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
Sectarian: One of a sect; one of a party in religion which has separated itself from the establishment, or which holds different principles.
All the denominations today are antichrist, and apostate, because they broke away from The Way. They all have their own principals. We must return to The Way.
Final Greetings and Benediction
3:16 Now the Prince of peace Himself give you peace always by all means. The Prince be with you all.
3:17 The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.
3:18 The grace (favor, Divine influence) of our Prince Yahshua Christ be with you all. Amen.
THESSALONIANS 2– CHURCH DOCTRINE VS. SCRIPTURE
Below are 3 sources of what the modern churches preach today about the book of Thessalonians 2.
The purpose is to expose the apostasy and perversion of the scriptures, and to educate our people about the truth of our heritage. That we, the Anglo-Saxon race who are the descendants of ancient Israel, are the people of Abraham's seed and therefore the heirs of the promises of Yahweh. Not the Jews who distort and pervert the scriptures and teach the 'traditions of men'.

The book of 2nd Thessalonians is a Pauline Epistle (letter from Paul). The Apostle Paul wrote it about 52-54 A.D. (50-51 AD), several months after his first letter to the church (assembly) in Thessalonica. The key personalities in this book are the Apostle Paul, Silas, and Timothy. Paul wrote this letter to reemphasize the coming return of Jesus Christ. Some of the people in Thessalonica had thought that Jesus had already returned, this letter was written to correct any misunderstandings.
• In chapter 1, Paul highlights the great hope of Jesus’ future return although the exact time is unable to be known by anyone. He commends the church (assembly) in Thessalonica for their perseverance in the midst of persecution, “we ourselves speak proudly of you among the churches (assemblies) of God for your perseverance and faith (allegiance) in the midst of all your persecutions and afflictions which you endure” (1:4). Paul teaches that God will punish those who are persecuting on the last day. “Dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord (Prince) Jesus. These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord (Prince) and from the glory of His power” (1:8-9).
• In chapters 2-3, speaking of the return of Jesus Christ, Paul was sure to include the signs and setting that “the man of lawlessness” (the antichrist) had to arrive. (Anyone who is not with Christ is Antichrist. It's not just one man. 1John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. And 1J 2:22, 4:3, 2J 1:7)
For that to occur the “restrainer” (Holy Spirit) must be removed from restraining him. The Holy Spirit indwells all believers and when He is removed, all believers will be “caught up” in the clouds with the Lord Jesus (1 Thessalonians 4:17).There is no “rapture”. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. When Christ comes, if we are worthy we will be transformed. Not taken out of here. Paul pushes them to pray and serve until this all transpires. Don't fall for this garbage from Judaism.
“May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the steadfastness of Christ” (3:5).
(3:5) Now the Prince is to keep your hearts straight in the love of Yahweh and in the endurance of the Anointed (the group).
2Thessalonians 2:6-8
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
The original Greek must be referred to for clarification.
6 And you know that which now prevails, for him (the lawless) to be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already operating, he (the lawless) prevailing only presently until he should be out of the way, 8 and then will the lawless be revealed, whom Prince Yahshua will destroy with the breath of His mouth, and abolish at the manifestation of His presence.
The mystery of lawlessness is the blindness we have to the fact that the children of Israel are under the yoke of Cain and Esau's children today.
When Christ returns, this mystery will be revealed. Since we've lost our way, we can't tell dark from light, when our Prince comes back the darkness will have nowhere to hide.

Summary of the Book of 2 Thessalonians
Because of its similarity to 1 Thessalonians, it must have been written not long after the first letter -- perhaps about six months. The situation in the church (assembly) seems to have been much the same. Paul probably penned it ( 1:1; 3:17) c. a.d. 51 or 52 in Corinth, after Silas and Timothy had returned from delivering 1 Thessalonians.
Purpose
Inasmuch as the situation in the Thessalonian church (assembly) has not changed substantially, Paul's purpose in writing is very much the same as in his first letter to them. He writes (1) to encourage persecuted believers (saints) (1:4-10), (2) to correct a misunderstanding concerning the Lord's (Prince's) return (2:1-12) and (3) to exhort the Thessalonians to be steadfast and to work for a living (2:13 -- 3:15).
Theme
Like 1 Thessalonians, this letter deals extensively with eschatology (end times). In fact, in 2 Thessalonians 18 out of 47 verses deal with this subject.

Second Thessalonians
Who wrote the book?
Just because Paul visited a city, preached the gospel for weeks or even months, and founded a church (assembly) by guiding converts to the faith, this did not protect the new church from scheming heretics (This goes for most of today's “churches” as well). In fact, the immaturity of any new church (assembly) presented a perfect target for those (Edomites) who meant to mislead and distort the truth. Paul, worried about his friends and their troubles with false teachers (Judaizers), wrote this second letter to the believers (saints) at Thessalonica in the hope of encouraging their young but burgeoning faith (allegiance).
Where are we?
Paul wrote 2 Thessalonians from Corinth in AD 51 within months of writing the first letter. Since the subject matter of the second letter has a number of thematic similarities to the first, Paul probably had received a second report from the city detailing continuing questions or problems regarding the end times. Several of Paul’s references indicate that some in Thessalonica were deliberately misleading these new believers (awakened saints), even to the point of false teachers forging letters to make them look as if they had come from Paul (2 Thessalonians 2:2). The apostle, therefore, took extra care in this letter to make sure the Thessalonians understood not only his views on the end times but also what his handwriting looked like, so they would be able to identify letters as authentically his (3:17).
Why is Second Thessalonians so important?
Second Thessalonians distinguishes itself by the detailed teaching it presents on the end times. False teachers had been presenting fake letters as if from Paul and telling the Thessalonian believers (saints) that the day of the Lord (Prince) had already come. This would have been especially troubling to them because Paul had encouraged them in his previous letter that they would be raptured before the day of wrath came upon the earth.
The “churches” teach about a “rapture”. There is no such thing, and to believe this is to deny the purpose of Yahweh's plan. The “rapture” doctrine is less than 400 years old. It is a deception.
So Paul explained to them that this future time of tribulation had not yet come because a certain “man of lawlessness” had not yet been revealed (2 Thessalonians 2:3). The man of lawlessness is anyone who is against Christ, there are many antichrists. The “churches” teach that one man is the antichrist, scripture, Christ, and John teach that there are many antichrists in the world. Comparisons with other passages in Daniel, Matthew, and Revelation reveal this man to be none other than the Antichrist. Yes, he who is not with Christ is antichrist, we are surrounded by them. But Paul encouraged the Thessalonians not to worry, because the Antichrist would not come until a mysterious restrainer—the Thessalonians apparently knew his identity—was removed from earth (2:6–7). The identity of this restrainer has been heavily debated, though due to the nature of the work the restrainer does, He is likely the Spirit of God working redemptively through the church. When the believers leave the earth in the rapture, all who remain will experience the wrath of the tribulation.
The “restrainer” is actually the present prevailer, lawlessness, evil, all the antichrists. The mystery is that we, God's people are oblivious to our enemy. As the parable of the wheat and tares explains, the tares (antichrists) are gathered first and destroyed. Scripture says nothing about us going anywhere. We are here to bring in the Kingdom. How do you do this if you are taken away? Please do not believe the lies of false teachers.
What's the big idea?
The apostle Paul, in concern for the Thessalonian believers (saints) who were trying to stand firm in their faith under pressure from false teachers (who push the “rapture” doctrine), taught the Thessalonians in this letter that their hope in Christ’s future return should serve as an encouragement to them in their suffering, motivating them to live responsibly for Him. Paul always connected his teaching on Jesus with the practical growth he expected to see as a result of such a deeply held faith.
How do I apply this?
Discipline and self-control are two qualities that quickly slip away in a society so focused on the material that its people forget the spiritual realities that should dictate their lives (by sitting back and waiting for the “rapture”). Fat with financial and material success, many people today have descended into an unruly and lazy existence that possesses little care for others, especially of the kind that might conflict with our personal, fleshly desires (like believing all you have to is “just believe” and you will be “raptured”). How does your daily life come into conflict with God’s desire for you to live well and serve others? (Not good if you believe the lies spewed out in today's “churches”)
Paul knew that hope in Christ would encourage perseverance in godly living. And hope is exactly what we lack today, one of the great roots of this gradual slip into increased self-centeredness. Sounds like the “churches” gospel of “personal salvation”, which can be found nowhere in the scriptures. It's all about brotherly love, obedience, and the good of the Kingdom. There is no I in TEAM. As you read the words of 2 Thessalonians, allow them to rekindle your hope and fan into flame your desire to live in God-honoring, industrious ways.
